Shipping was fast and it arrived well packaged. The unit looks great and seems well made. I just finished my first load using sweet potatoes, and a 5-lb bag filled all 12 trays perfectly. Everything dried evenly, and the process was simple and straightforward. Highly recommend!

Dehydrator

I make commercial beef jerky. I have purchased 2 other brands of types of hydrators. The problem I had with the others is that the highest temperature they could generate was 145 degrees F.

This hydrator hits 167 degrees F. However, if all 12 racks are loaded and packed too much, the temperature only hits 158 degrees F.

Note I tested previous hydrators and the VEVOR product using a digital remote thermometer that measured to 1/10th of a degree.

When making beef jerky, I space the sliced meat about 1/3" apart. This helps to improve air circulation. Instead of loading 12 trays per batch, I load 8 trays. Again this helps improve heat distribution. By doing so, the hydration time is reduced by about 50%.

The unit has a very bright internal light. Product being hydrated an be viewed on 3 sides of the machine. The unit is ultra quiet. The unit is east to clean, a simple wipe down and it sparkles due to being stainless steel.

The 110v electrical cord should be about a foot longer. I place my unit on my oven top, turn on the venting fan above the oven, and start the VEVOR hydrator up.  This eliminates the smell from dehydrating smoked meat.

My other thoughts is that I wish they made a 48 inch tall unit with many more shelves, with 3 fans and provided a max temperature of 190 degrees.
