Worked right out of the box. Quick setup, easy use. Use it for hanging deer in my garage, wanted to do a little test and I could move my 850lbs quad by hand.

I used the hoist pulley to pull two 800 lbs stones out of my pickup truck and then lift them into place to make two steps into my cottage.  

The 100 foot length of the rope was useful in allowing me to swing the steps about 14 feet in total to get them into place using a homemade 2x4 tripod with the hoist.  The tripod tipped a couple of times but the hoist - pulley never failed.
