Haven't had time to try it yet but rebound seems ok. The “pritchel hole is a joke. Badly located & WAY TOO BIG! Whoever designed it has no idea what a pritchel hole is used for, they deliberately misled beginners in the field of blacksmithing. 
I suspect that the hole has something to do with the manufacturing process but it's useless as a tool holder 
 However, I can drill my own hole at the back, where it should be, if I can get a hard enough bit.
The price of the anvil  & it's other good properties makes it a good buy! But don't try to bafflegab people with nonsense. 
It would be a simple fix just to drill another hole at the back 
of the correct size
