I used this to clean my father's chimney and it worked quite well.  There was a squirrel's nest lodged up near the top of the chimney stack 2 storeys up that was blocking the airway most of last fire season, causing the house to smoke up quite a bit.  My dad was an old timer and wanted the chimney cleaned from the top to bottom, but after I showed him this flexible tool he was cool to using it.  I was able to knock out the carbonized twigs and filled a 5 gallon bucket with debris.  We could have called a professional to clean out the chimney for less than $300, but who knows what they would have done once the squirrel nest was encountered, it took over an hour extra just to knock it out, otherwise without the squirrels nest I could have done the 2 storey chimney in less than an hour, and the bonus is that I still have the tool to clean it out next year too.  I selected the one with 2 brushes, but the brush looks as durable as the rods and the extra one will probably not be needed for a long time.  One small problem I had was with disconnecting the rods, but I eventually figured out that a slight twist while pushing in the button helped to disassemble them quickly.

I purchased this kit because I had knee replacement and cannot access my chimney from the roof as I used to. Having used it, it is something I should have done years ago. Using a cordless drill I had no problem feeding the brush up the chimney and as far as I can tell, it does a very nice job cleaning off the creosote. I had a shop vac inserted into the pipe while I was cleaning it. There was some dust, so if you want, put a plastic bag over the end of the pipe and have the end of the rod coming out through while using. I only used it once but there is no doubt in my mind that it should last for years.

Was easy to use, assembly and disassembly is simple and easy to do and done a perfect job actually better then some other brushes used in the past.

Great product

Used this twice now to clean my 30'-0" of 6" stainless chimney insert from inside the basement. Found it easier to join all the pieces and shove them up then clean my way down. Works like a charm for me.  At first I was skeptical about angling it into the liner from the horizontal to the vertical, but this has more flexibility than the rods I use from the roof down, so it was not a problem.

I recommend. It works well and as described. I have a 23' chimney with two 22 degrees offset. It's surprising how it goes through without any problems. However, there are some steps you will need to take to control the dirt. The storage bag that comes with it could be of better quality.

Chimney Brush

I wanted a chimney sweep that would eliminate the need for me to get on the roof of my house so I decided to try this one out. I've only used it once so far but it worked great. Made cleaning my chimney quick and easy. Highly recommend!!!

Works Great!

Very well built and works exceptionally well. The button release system on the rods make them easy to assemble and more importantly disassemble after being spun in the chimney

Great DIY chimney sweep

This item is good but you should take all joints to avoid sections from disconnecting in chimney.  The vibration from operation will cause the ball and socket joints to disconnect.  
Once I secured all joints with tape,  it worked great.
