[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Involved set-up, but good when you have it all working. I would recommend buying a LifePO4 solar battery to use it, since the amperage restrictions are real (i.e. for example a cigarette lighter adaptor on a Jackery won't work). LifePO4 battery is about ~$100/1kWh if you look for the right deal (1kWh is about how much capacity a Jackery 1000 stores, for reference; the Jackery or similar products usually just has things more ready-made for you—in this case, however, a plain battery is actually easier for doing the job). 

If you plan well from the onset, the setup will definitely go faster (you can see some YouTube videos of people setting up this heater which helps; they also provide an installation and troubleshooting video in the instructions). This isn't a plug-and-play setup, but the machine itself works well. If you're not so handy, try a model that combines the tank and the actual heater together in one piece. I like having the tank seperate because I get more tank capacity and also can maneuver everything creatively into a smaller space, plus long-term maintainability, but having the tank seperate did definitely make the set-up more involved and take longer, as you have to drill into the tank yourself to make a small hole for the nozzle the fuel line goes into (much less intimidating when it sounds when you actually get to it, but still need to be careful with it and get your ducks in order).

Once set up, after making the shelf to hold it, etc., the heater works well, the remote paired automatically, and I'm a fan of this over the Buddy propane heater I was previously using due to all the exhaust going outside and ease of use. I currently have the combustion air intake inside, though I'll likely move it outside in the future once I get a pipe extension that'll take it all the way through my thick wall (tip: usually err on the side of putting your combustion air intake outside, though it may depend on your use case; for example, size of space being heated up, if it's cold outside, if you have existing ventilation solutions for air intake for the entire space to prevent O2 depletion, etc.).

2kW works well for me in a ~70sqft space in -20°C conditions with ~R40 insulation (read: small space, very cold outside, decent insulation; this size heater should work well generally for small spaces). I run it on high every now and then to reheat the space and blast my air intake (though the latter step is only necessary because I still have my air intake valve inside). I don't use the automatic mode because it runs it on a lower mode, and for maintenance it's apparently better to have it on high to prevent pipe buildup. Energy-wise, running any heater or generator on middle-modes all the time is also generally less efficient as a rule of thumb.

tl;dr: Overall good product, very good value for the price. Also account for a battery as part of the price. If you want to make setup easier for yourself, consider the combined tank version instead.
