If its two sharp edges at top be trimmed round will definitely prevent or reduce the chance of incidental cuts.

I would give it a 5 BUT the plastic peel off coatings on the stainless steel took an hour to get off! It was so thin it was constantly tearing. Some of the bottom unseen surfaces I could not get it off, it was too thin to peel. The cart itself was easy to put together and I like it very well.
