Half the fun is taking these cheap lathes and making them work better! YouTube has lots of great vids to help! Vevor is good value and after sales help is real good!

Nice little machine.  Don't buy for making threads.  Most of the gear combinations shown on the chart are impossible to do (0.50, 0.75, 1.00, 1.25, 1.50, 10, 11, 20, 28, 38, 40 and 44).  Two of them need 44 and 70 tooth gears witch are not included (11 and 38).

Before buying I did my due diligence, read reviews and watched lots of youtube videos, so I though I knew pretty all I needed to know about this lathe. However, one thing I didn't know was that even though the thru-lathe bore is 32mm, the bore of the chuck is only about 20mm (I didn't measure it exactly)...

Therefore, if you're counting on using the thru-bore to turn long pieces, know that you're limited to about 20mm in diameter with this chuck. If you're planning on machining something bigger that way, you'll need to either buy (and fit) a bigger chuck, a collet chuck or some alternative way of mounting your piece.

VEVOR should mention this in the description because it misleads people (like me...) into thinking they're gonna be able use the thru-lathe bore on pieces up to 32mm in diameter...

I wish I'd known this before buying

Very quick delivery! Well packaged and the machine arrived without damage. Overall build quality is very good. It runs reasonably quiet all the way up to a displayed 2500rpm. The feed-lever engagement is not very solid, will see how it performs when I start using the machine.

Overall a good machine. The gibs are not easy to adjust right, especially on the x axis. The tail piece fit is poor. But with some love, it can be made to work fine. For the price, a good machine if you are willing to work on it.

It is a nice metal lathe. the only disregard I can find is it doesn't have any clearance for the power feed screw and it does  have an Off/On Switch.
