[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an actual cast metal peeler of tge same design that's been around for decades and decades. It seems well built. Unfortunately my apples succumbed to brown rot on the tree a few days before this arrived. After seeing my poor mom's sliced and beat up hands filling a couple 5gal buckets with peels for the worm farm,  I had to get her one. She said it was the real deal and just like the 2 she has, but can't find. Lol. Hopefully there is a way to keep the peeling blade sharp though, because that seems the only flaw in the design.

a clever mechanical device that will peel, core, and slice an apple in short order. it will do potatoes, too. it is heavier than other similar devices & so more durable.

it does what it is supposed to do

the Johnny Apply peeler works great.   I have another one that is the same design but a different brand and it does not work as good as the Johnny Apple peerler.

Have one of these I've used for years and bought another as a gift. Makes apple prep a breeze and have done bushels and bushels before needing replacement parts.

Must have for any canner.
