My nine month old twin grandsons Theo and Quinn just loved this ball. As they get older, it provides lots of different learning opportunities like numbers and colors. It is very easy to use out of the box. Yes it does make sounds but the volume isn't blasted so I don't think it will get too annoying to mom and dad. If this is like other VTEC toys, I'm sure it will last forever and will remain in great working order and provide some education to these babies.

The toy is soft for little one who like to throw things. It talks and has little flaps that make it easy to care for little hands. The 2, 3 and 6 year old enjoy playing with it.

Both of our grandchildren 1 %26 3 spotted it right away on their book shelf.

My daughter loves balls so I thought it would be a great addition but I'll give it a couple of months. She was interested for only a little while. But otherwise great product.

ball did not light up or sound. I was so disappointed as it was an early zmas present to my grandson. i was flying and could not bring it back home with me, so I have no way to return it. I hope that the manufacturer website has a way to order the piece that goes inside that makes the sounds and lights, and i can mail it to my daughter so he has a working  one!
