Floor

I bought this for my grandson who is 7 months old. He doesn't like being on his tummy but this toy makes noise and is brightly colored so it attracts him. As he inches closer it moves away just a bit. I chased it around the family room to test it's range of mobility. Good on hard floors and short weave rugs. Not so good on the shag carpet.I was pleased with the random direction choices and that it would avoid objects as well. Great cat for the money!

I discovered the Kitty while at a friend's house, when a guest's 1-year-old son couldn't stop chasing it, on hands an knees, across the living room's smooth hardwood floors. I had to have such a fun toy for another friend, who would be a mother in 2 months. The first time I saw her after giving her the Kitty, she told me that it was good that her son wouldn't be able to play with it for another year because it might take that long to get it away from her husband.

I recently bought this for my friends 1yr old and she loved it! So I just bought one for my 5 1/2 mth old granddaughter, can't wait to see her start crawling after it!! I love that you just turn it on and watch it go, it won't do any damage to your furniture or walls because it turns and goes the opposite way when it "senses" something in front of it. Love it!!!

Wonderful little toy!!!!

We bought this for our 14 mos old for christmas. We bought it for learning and exercising. It's perfect, she loves it.

Wonderful Toy

I purchased this for Christmas for my 16 month old Great Grandson. Even though I did not open the box, it did have a "Try Me" button. I know he will love this as it moves around the floor and he has to catch it. Great exercise.

Great child item

This is the cutest thing. Ready to go right out of the box, batteries provided and installed, very easy to operate, just turn it on and set it down on the floor. It plays tunes and rolls all around, pausing occasionally before spinning around to roll to another area. The only "con" I can see is that it would not work well on carpeted floors.

Adorable Toy for Toddler

My daughter loves this. I have wood floors in most of my house so it will move around very good. If you walk in front or behind it, it stops and moves a different direction. I got this for my daughter when she turned 1 year. She started out by crawling after it then when she started walking she would chase after it. It a very durable because she has dropped it numerous times. I would recommend this toy.

This toy is so cool! It's sensors in it are great bc it doesn't run into anything and will spin a different direction when it approaches something in its way. It cruised from the living room into the kitchen then into the bedroom and back without getting stuck anywhere. It does occasionally get stuck but it's not like you have to move it every 5 secs. Great price for such a wonderful toy. My daughter just turned a year a couple weeks before Christmas and I was hoping she would like it, she loves it. She goes to grab it and it takes off! It keeps her on her toes :)

A great toy!

My daughter got this as a Christmas present and she is about to turn 3 in two months. I think the age grouping for this toy is a bit to long. 12-36 months? By age 3 my daughter is doing well over 99% percent of the stuff this toy teaches and wouldn't need this toy anymore. I also do not like the fact that you have to have a hard floor surface to play with it. 90% of my home is carpeted and the only place she would be able to play with this is in our kitchen where we do not let her play because of the dangers that are in there. The wheels get stuck in the carpeting and I'm sure that it also wears on the motor not being able to turn very easily.

Overall though the music and speech are clear and loud enough to hear clearly. Has a speed and sensitivity button on the bottom of unit, auto shut off, and it doesn't run into furniture. It will stop and turn before it does because of the front motion sensor.

All in all I would recommend this toy to parents who have a child that is about to be walking or at the 12 month marker to receive the full benefits from this toy.

You Need Hard Floors and a Younger Child.....

It will get stuck repeating the same thing over and over. "Here I come, I'm on the run!" Seriously it will repeat that 50 times in a row. It started doing this after about 3 days of playing with it. It no longer moves like it did the first half hour of play. Save your money! The kitty hits walls and doesn't turn around, so even when it is working properly it isn't much fun.

Junk. Save your money!
