4 year old is obsessed with "helping" me at the real grocery store. He scans everything. This toy was basically made for him. The first few days it lived on our living room floor. He loves the cash drawer that actually opens, and especially the card reader that goes "beep." He would line up all our real snacks, cereal boxes, and even my keys to "check out."

What's actually good: it keeps him busy for a solid for 1 or 2 hours without me. It says the names of foods, counts, and does simple adding, so it feels educational but not like homework. He's learned "tomatoes" and "broccoli" from it because he scans them over and over.


*Bottom line:* For a 4 year old who's into pretend play, it's worth it. He feels like a "big kid" using it and it buys me some quiet time. Just go in knowing you'll need to supplement with real items from your pantry, and that you'll be hearing "Welcome to VTech Grocery" in your sleep. For us, it's a 4/5.

It quickly became my sons favorite toy it's a must

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) My toddler absolutely loves the Vtech Count on Me Self Checkout. He gets so excited everytime he plays with it and loves pretending to shop. I love that it keeps him entertained while helping him practice counting and use of his imagination. It's one of the toys he plays with over and over again, i'm so happy we have it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is great! My toddler is a little on the young side. I wanted this toy to grow with him. So small pieces are when I can play with him. But when I can't he has a great time pushing the buttons, interacting with the voice and playing with the food. I think this is a fun toy for multiple ages.

It's was very easy to use, practical to practice mathematics with my kids or just to play . The songs are not to loud we can adjust. Do not take to much space. Very easy to clean. I loved it.

Educational but very entertaining for kids

I love that it comes with cash and card , food , and even a little paper bag to pack. This complements their other toys so well, along with the number games that are programmed inside it. This toy is very well throughout with very durable materials for kids play. The coins are a very good size so that it is safe for a wide range of children. Kids aged 2-7 have had a wonderful experience and are playing with it on a daily basis. I would highly recommend this product for curious and imaginative play!

The only downside is that some pieces are made of cardboard, so they wont last forever- it would be better if everything were plastic- but is really good. It loved it !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited for this toy and my boy really do love it but there is a lot that just needs to be improved. It does not stand up right even with the additional pieces . Those fall right off and it's falling all over the place . Also the foods are made of cardboard and were destroyed by day 1. A toy like this should have plastic toys that can be reused .. i just don't know how long this thing will last for a very expensive price . Even the tags for the register are made of cardboard and they just fall off . It needs to be a lot more kid friendly. Plus putting stickers all over a toy is nobody's idea of fun when your kids just want to play
