You can customize the track any way you like, or they offer you a few different ways to set it up to utilize all the stations. It has so many sounds and little phrases. The train runs on its own and pulls the other rolling stock easily.
The quality is impressive; sturdy enough to stay together but safe and secure enough for little hands and fingers. The farm station is so cute, the train takes a little break before reaching the sheep and herding them out of the way. I ! love this for my boys. Merry Christmas Eve!

Perfect first train!

It's a little tricky for him to snap the pieces together himself, but once we set it up he had a blast playing with it and making the train go and crash. He loves the sheep crossing especially and even his older siblings (7 and 4) had fun playing too! It has lots of fun details and obstacles and you can set it up in different ways. It does make some noise but not overly loud which is nice.

The little motorized train had two train cars with the engine and is super engaging and interactive. He loved how the train announced where it was every time it passed a location. There was an initial bit of setup but it really only took about 20 minutes to put together. This will definitely be a well used toy in our house.

All my kiddos love it. From my 1 year old, 3 year old, and even my 6 year old was entertained by it. Such a cute interactive track. So many hands on pieces for them to play with and very durable. No choking hazard pieces either which is a huge bonus with little ones.
It was relatively straight forward to put together. It took about 20 minutes total from start to finish. I would highly recommend this as a gift for kids! Especially in the 1-4 year old range.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This train set is super entertaining. It takes a bit to put it together (it's actually not that intuitive, we had to look at the picture to set it up correctly - my picture is my kids that tried to do it again and they couldn't fit some pieces), but when it's all set up it's super fun! The train pulls 2 wagons and goes around, up and down the bridge, makes sounds and says things like “train starts with T”. It has some “stations” such as the water stop, a tunnel, the main station, all add so much fun! It was originally for my 1.5 years old, but my 3.5 yo is having fun with it too!
Note: we had issues with the train itself that stops functioning after a few hours. I reached out to Vtech that made it right right away - thus my 5 stars review anyway! 
It's a super fun toy - it does take a lot of space but we knew that getting it. I'll definitely recommend it!

The train stop and goes on its own when at the station or when faced with an obstacle. This kids love this train because they can build different tracks and also adjust the track the train will go on while it is moving. The train station is fun and they also enjoys the sounds and lights. This is a perfect first train for my 3 year old and I would recommend this to others.
