It's nice and thick and goes on smooth. It's a great primer and the dry time has been pretty quick. I'll probably need 2-3 cans to do the whole garage but it'll definitely be worth it.

Wonderful primer

The coverage was much nicer and took less coats. There was not a strong odor from this as there usually is.

Reliable product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very impressed with Valspar brand prep step multipurpose latex primer. It is good for indoors and outdoor usage. The smell was not overpowering during the process or drying time. It is very smart to properly prime prior to application of paint to avoid problems down the road. I used this in my basement recently so I cannot comment on the durability or longevity at this point but overall I am pleased.

I got the Valspar Prep Step multipurpose primer and I am really happy with the result. 
The primer adheres to all surfaces especially drywall masonry, wood and plaster. That's about all in my house! 

I used it to prime my dining area and I love that it even covered imperfections in my drywall! That being said, this product is for exterior as well. 

The odor is nothing to bother me.

Interior/exterior excellent quality multipurpose primer!

Plus clean up is a breeze too. One of the best features is how well it covers stains. I used it to cover a very dark paint color and it did the job.

Works On A Variety Of Surfaces

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am in the process of making over a piece of furniture (hutch), and my initial primer I used didn't work too well. The original stain started to come through, making the white paint look yellowed. I'm now testing this primer and do not see any of the previous stain shows through. I will continue to use this going forward, and I'm really happy with the results so far! Valspar is an excellent brand, and I will buy it again for my next project!
