I went on vacation and hired a sitter for my cats.  After two days of my alarm not going off I called her and she advised she lost my house key.  What a nightmare.  So never again.  I freeze water in this container and put it out for them while I am away.  It works great and I don't have to worry or depend on someone else to care for my cats.  Purchased the food feeder too.  I bought a large and a small waterer they both work great.

I have 2 of these because I have 2 cats. I fill 1 halfway with water and freeze it so each time there's fresh cold water as the ice melts for my pets. I do this every time I change the water and my sweetie's enjoy it.

Works like a charm

This is exactly what I needed. My dog and cat share the same water bowl therefore by the time I get home from a 9 hour day, it's empty. This waterer lasts a good 3 days and I'm ensured they have water all day long.

Worth every penny !

Easy to use and clean. I wanted to see how long it last so I fill it as high as it would go and my 2yr old cat use it everyday and it last 6 days with some water still remaining in its a great product at a great price.

I bought this for my cat Charlie. He is a 3 year old Tabby and is my hunter for mice and rats as I live in a rural area. He has easy access to the outside and spends a lot of time searching for prey. He does an excellent job! Due to his high activity he gets thirsty often. He now has easy access to water whenever he needs it. At first I was disappointing that it only held 3 liters, but I then recalled that water can get kind of 'slimy' if it is left out for a long time, especially if an animal is drinking it. So now I am happy that it wasn't any bigger. It was filled 7 days ago and is still 1/3 full and not 'slimy'. That saves Charlie time, he now doesn't have to go looking for me to give him more water. It is a little hard to get it assembled and filled the first time, but once you do it you will find it is really easy.

difficult to snap the cover on.  and so much water leaks out as i try to place it on the bowl part.
it works ok i guess for a cheap unit but i had hoped for better.
seems easier to just refill the bowl manually instead of using the "automatic" reservoir thing.
on the plus side tho, my cat is no longer spilling the water when he steps on the bowl. this unit is much more stable than what we had previously.

NOT so easy to use.

Perhaps if this came with instructions?  Nothing but trouble and spillage trying to use this.  
I am taking it to the recycle bin.  Not worth my time to return it.

I have three cats and a dog and they all get along very well. I had a water feeder that I had for many years that got broken while moving. So after the work of moving to another house was over. I went to wallmart to get another water feeder. They didn't have one for sale but I was told to go to wallmart.com and I would surly find it there. So, I did and There I did see a water feeder which looked pretty big. Part of this purchase really is my fault because I didn't look at the size. I only assumed that it was about the same size as the one I previously had. In any case I tried to use it anyway. But for some reason it leak all over the place on the floor. It had something to do with gravity of the feeder. It surely was nothing like the one that I had for years. I personally really didn't like it. It might be o.k. for a small dog or a cat. But don't expect a great product here. I've been buying from wallmart.com for years and I always left a good review. This is the first time I ever left a bad review. I guess all I'm trying to do is be honest about how I felt about this product. Someone else with a small dog or a cat might love it.
