I have SEVERAL other Van Ness products as well and have always been fully satisfied with them too! I personally use these containers for my two dogs and one cat.......2 25lb containers for the dogs (one for food storage and one for treats/snacks/bone storage) and 2 10lb containers for the cat (one for food storage, one for treat and overflow food storage). This latest purchase in December 2020 was for my daughter who has two new kittens. I purchased 2.....one for a food and the other for treat/snack/pig ear storage. Never had a problem with any of the containers. The are sturdy, cute and they hold more than they state....my 25lbs container holds a 35lb bag of food with room to spare. The keep all the animals food/snacks/treats neat and fresh AND they are rodent proof!!

I love the easy flip top over the ones with the screw lid (my old hands can't handle those) but these don't prevent ants the way a screw top will.  I use Van Ness containers when it isnt ant season.  I am not sure they make a true ant proof container.  Those little fellas can find a way into anything.  I spent a lot more money and purchased the screw tops and in about 2 weeks...ANTS.  Sprinkle cinnamon around the bottom and it will keep them away.

I use this to store dry Cat food and so far it has worked great for me. I usually put a 7lb bag in each time and there is still plenty of room left for more. Also, the latch works good, my cats have knocked it off the counter before and it hasn't popped open.

Pet Food Container

I don't think this is the top of the line product out there but I think it works well and is fantastic for the price. Highly recommend for pet food storage. Or any storage for that matter.

Great for pet food storage

I own 2 of these for pet food and treats and they are the perfect size for my petcare needs. I have priced these on other sites and found them on the Walmart website the cheapest deal.

Perfect size

using this to store dry cat food - it's the perfect size, and an entire 7lb bag of dry cat food goes in it.  It's air tight so it won't attract bugs.  Small enough that it's easy to handle.

I love it. We use it to hold rice. It lasted about 3 years then fell off the top of the fridge and broke. Bought another one within 5 minutes. That's saying something.

Great for holding anything not just pet food

I bought this container to store my rice. It fits a 15 pound bag of rice with no problem and it fits nicely in my pantry!! Very pleased with this purchase.

When I purchased this I thought it would be a lot bigger. Even friends of mine who own dogs looked at the thing and said, that's supposed to hold 10 lbs? It's a little deceptive. Works really well but I expected something larger. I would recommend this to someone who needed a smaller container.

Seriously 10 lbs?

This stores food fine keep the bag inside because it's not air tight!
Does not smoosh or snap down! You can see the whole spaces in the back of it.
Not sure why reviews stated it was air tight. That's which I purchased it but whatever it's fine! Just keep the bag closed inside of it!!
