I already had one of these for dog food and it is very handy rather than digging in the big bag every day, etc.  However, I bought this one for cereal :-)  I like to mix two kinds of cereal, and rather than take out two boxes every morning, I can mix it in this and just pour out the cereal in the morning.  Works great.

But since most of you are looking at it for pet food, it is PERFECT!  You can mix different kinds of pet food in it if you want also to give your pet a variety.

got this to old 10lbs of flour as we have a breakmaker and bake weekly loaf, sometimes twice a week. the seal is tight to keep moisture out. the clear plastic makes it easy to know when to refill.

This is a great size for keeping cat food fresh and convenient. I have used this product for two years and plan to buy another one because my two cats are now eating different food. I have not had the same problems as other reviewers. The seal is tight. I clean the entire dispenser every month or two. I have not had any problems with ants or other bugs, and I live in Florida. I usually do not pour from the dispenser, but lift the lid and measure out the food. I think this is a higher quality container than the other plastic pet food containers found at the major pet supply stores.

Perfect for cat food

This is exactly what I was searching for to hold my cat food. The pour spout is handy, and it does not latch real tight, but tight enough (and has a rubber seal, both on the small spout and large lid). The only drawback is the STRONG plastic odor. I washed it and also rinsed out with vinegar. It's been sitting in my garage over night and still has the odor. I put some newspaper in the container, hoping it will absorb the odor. I do not want this to "pollute" my cat food. Otherwise, perfect container.

Perfect, but strong odor

I picked this up while doing some other shopping for our dog and it looked great. I felt it would keep the ants out and so forth. Well it would do that if it held up. In less than 2 months one of the plastic hinges broke off on one side then on the other side there is a crack about 2-3 inches long. Now I realize that I didn't spend a fortune for this food container but still it should last longer than that. I only used it long enough for one and a half bags of dogfood. So I would never buy another one and never suggest it to anyone. Look for a better one and maybe spend a little more money. Now I have to buy another one so my husband and I aren't too happy right now.

Not worth the money - won't hold up!

This isn't that great. The lid pop off by itself when you're pouring the food out and you end up with kibble all over the floor. Very frustrating and not worth the money.

Poor quality

i bought this for my cats food to keep ants out not even two days later , i have ants inside and out!!
very disappointed in this..will not buy this product again or tell anyone to!

Was broken before I got it home. Must have been damaged before my purchase.
