I purchased this to keep a small area rug in place on our hardwood floor, and it's been wonderful. No more slipping and sliding with potential injuries. Best of all, when I wanted to replace the velcro tape, I warmed up the tape on the floor/rug with a blow dryer and was able to lift it right off for replacement.

Good for crafting

Very strong adhesive. Resists water but not waterproof. Package says not recommended for fabric but it holds just fine as long as you don't submerge it in water. If you do just let it dry and the stickiness comes back.

Better than the competition

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just what I needed for fixing my ice and heat pack covers with worn out Velcro. Better value than the Velcro strips.

Strong

We use this stuff to attach a fishing tackle box to a metal tray underneath the footbox on a wheelchair. The fishing box has routine-and-emergency supplies for the totally-dependent young man who uses the wheelchair. His nurse tips the wheelchair back to access the box and rips it off the Velcro it sits on. Happens several times a day, and he's had that wheelchair for 12 years. He just got a new one. A different configuration requires a different tackle box and a new round of Velcro and that's why I purchased this. But hey--12 years of ripping that box off the Velcro that keeps it from sliding around, and it still works just fine--that should tell you how great this stuff is!

Still going after 12 years...

i had them up on my wooden fence to attach solar lights which weigh practically nothing, they started to peel from the wood within a months time: weather elements  just did them in.
i dont think they are "industrial" strength.
