I was initially skeptical about the support system when I bought this last year; boy, was I wrong. This is every bit as good as the expensive ones, and with a ton of features none other have, like easy take down and storage. Probably easier with two, I had no problem putting it up alone, and I'm 67. It stood up 100% to all the winds and rain nature threw at it, no damage, no leaks. The fact spare parts are available, like spare roof, all the wind panels, is a bonus. An excellent value..

super value

This is a very good bargain, and easy to set up, but a better method of securing it is needed to ensure that it will stay in place and last.

The 15 cm anchors shipped with this gazebo are not sufficient to secure it in the open. A wind gust of 30Km will leave you with a tangled mess of tubing. Also do not raise the canopy to the bottom holes of the legs, as there is not enough left in the upper tube to keep them straight. The plastic glide at the end of the top segment will slide off, and the leg will start to bend.

If it is set up on the deck, use 3/8" bolts and washers to secure the legs to your deck. Use T-nuts under the deck for easy removal. Tie the lines to hard points, or use the tent pegs recommended below.

On open ground bolt 6" pices of 2 X 6 lumber to the legs. A loop of rope can be used to anchor the leg / wood assembly to the ground. Use two pegs at least 9" long such as item 0007650192821 per leg. Do not use the straight steel pegs as they will not hold. Use these pegs for the guy ropes as well.

In windy areas, or for long term setups, I recommend driiling through the unused bottom hole and securing the height with a 3/8" bolt and nut.

It will cost another $20 at most to follow these recommendations. If you follow them and properly secure the canopy it will last for several years. If not, be prepared to chase your kite.

Secure it well!

I am a single lady & purchased this product to have an additional room while camping for my golden retrievers (which I have 3). Once you get how to set it up (definitely follow the directions), it is easy to do & I do it by myself. It is extremely durable as I live in Lethbridge, AB, known for its' winds & have not had any problems with it moving or coming down at all. The pegs that come with it are just fine in windy weather. I also purchased the sun covers & use them inside the screen for privacy. It also does very well in rainstorms & the roof does keep the rain out. I have used it 6 times this year & think it is one of the best products I have bought in 10 years!!!

Great Investment

We really like this gazebo for camping because it's so easy to put up and take down. We also purchased the sun screens thinking that they were wind screens but they still do the job.
The one complaint we had was that going in and out it was a real pain having to zip/unzip especially when your hands were full, but we found the solution to that.
Picked up a magnetic door screen from a local discount store for $10.00 and just clipped the screen over the gazebo entrance to the metal frame and left the entrance screen unzipped. You can use anything as clips, clothespins, plastic spring clips, etc ..
Works like a charm .. now we just push against the magnetic screen and presto! your through the door and it closes up behind you automatically.

easy in/out with this modification

We bought this gazebo last summer and in the autumn it was properly stored so as not to be damaged during the winter, both the structure and the canvases... Yet this summer when we mounted it 2 corners did not hold well in place, they would go down as soon as water accumulated on the roof and the roof dried so in the sun last summer that it is now full of small holes. In addition to the 2 corners that went down which caused the canvas to tear at the folding points of the roof... Very practical for the transportable side but not durable by the quality of its canvases!

Not very durable

Have only used twice, friends purchased one also, put 2 of them together when camping, lots of room and worked fine. Easier to put up with 4 people, took several tries to fold the top and netting to fit back in the bag. Ordered on line and was here in less than 2 days.

I have purchased at least 5 of these gazebos over the last 8 years - mainly for over our hot tub. This includes over the winter in northern Ontario, so I never expect it to make it through the winterl but it has! We also have one at camp, and one we use when we camp at provincial parks. They are sturdy, and easy to set up.

Fantastic value

Pros: goes up fast, not expensive

Cons: very cheap screen, water goes through roof, thin metal structure that is not made to last

This is an awesome product. We loved so much we purchased a 2nd one. Very easy to put up. We bring to the beach, use it camping, use in our backyard. Very versatile product.
