I tell all my friends and family about the great anti-depressive benefits I get from light therapy and have given a couple as gifts since I began with Verilux a decade ago.  The original lamp has not exhibited a single problem in all that time.  I purchased this very nice new one simply because I am 78 and put it away for the summer, then couldn't find it when I realized about a month ago that I felt kind of lousy and thought, Happy Light.  Excellent product.

I love this Happy Light!  Well made with lots of options for light, timing %26 use. I use it horizontally next to my reading material while eating breakfast. I used to use a large clunky light -  this is so much less space consuming. Love how you can personalize your treatment dose. Love the automatic timer shut off for its convenience

Well done!!

I purchased this light to help set my circadian rhythm. I am seldom sleepy in the evening and have difficulty falling asleep, having to rely on medication. I think this light is a game changer. In less than two weeks of use, I can already tell a difference. I actually feel tired about 10pm and can drift off within 15 minutes of going to bed.

Sleeping Better!

My therapist/doctor, suggested to combat SAD "seasonal affective disorder" using every morning for approximately 35 minutes, timer function very nice, use the full brightness and daylight color, very bright Properly positioned. No more than 24in away from your face. Eyes opened wide. I would have to give it a five-star rating so far, I have definitely felt as if it has been helping. Have used for about 10 days every morning. At least the cost is cheaper than a bottle of pills every month. Good luck.

No longer 'SAD'

I was dancing around the kitchen right now making my 2nd cup of coffee and realizing I didn't even really need that 2nd cup of coffee. I'm having it anyway because I love coffee, but this thing is really amazing. One session made me alert and happy after a week of fighting summertime blues. I'm recommending it to all my friends.

This thing really truly works.

A lovely life-hack for people with light sensitivity (I am one), to enhance quality of living. The light is nicely dispersed, easy to use, and generally enjoyable. I find it helpful against a persistent insomnia. I also find it enhances concentration. I had minor trouble with the cable falling out of the plug, but I got the hang of it after a few tries.

HappyLight® Luxe - White

The Verilux Happy Light is the perfect size and weight. I have only used it for a week so don't know if it will help with my Seasonal Affective Disorder yet. I started it at the 10,000 lux without any difficulty.

Happy with the light

Overall it is great - I really like the choice of brightnesses and the evenness of the light.  I find the on-off switch really tricky - sometimes takes me 10 tries to get it to work!  It is on the top corner and I have my light wall-hung, and there is only one hole for that so I have to use two hands so I do not stress the screw and damage the wall or even to get it to work at all!  Two screw-holes would help!  Even better, put the on-off on the front with the other controls!

Love it - but one thing

The interface is silly and potentially dangerous.

It has a touch interface, as opposed to physical buttons/knobs. Such that one has to look directly into it to determine and set the desired intensity and color. And since you aren't supposed to look directly into it, this is arguably unsafe.

It should have come with physical buttons/knobs to avoid this issue.

Touch button interface is dangerous.
