I would recommend two people to assemble this futon frame. The tools are a bit ridiculous but work. Be careful not to assemble this backwards. If I had not laid everything out and understood how it pulled out it would have been very possible to screw up. In my opinion it should be designed so you cant do this.

Overall I am pleased with this futon frame. Some simpler assembly improvements and I would have given 5 stars.

This light weight frame allows an excellent sitting or sleeping space in our basement. Ideal for company that is young, small to medium body type, or not staying long. We needed an extra option for when family comes to visit, and this is perfect for our needs. Assembly was accomplished by two teenage boys, so not to complicated to assemble.

Great item, unfortunately Walmart has different prices after ordering.

I was charged $5.00 more than listed price

This is my 4th futon and I must say that this is the first one that I bought that turned out to be designed and made for little people.  It is like 10 inches off the floor wherein most couches and futons are closer to 16 inches or so.  If you are getting up in years, it can be a pain (literally) to get out of.

YOU may as well be sitting on the floor

For the price, this actually held up pretty well.... except for the piece of the frame where you sit.  I tended to sit in the same place and after awhile (1 yr), the wires on this piece broke off the frame.  I'm only 115 lbs, so I'm not super impressed with the durability.  I'm also not impressed that they told me I can't buy replacement parts after the warranty expires.  That makes sense if I was asking for free parts, but to not even be able to buy parts?  It seems like a huge waste of money and environmentally irresponsible to buy a whole new frame when I just need one part.

That frustration aside, it was reasonable to assemble if you're mechanically inclined, although still pretty awkward.  The mattress is about what you'd expect for the price, but held up pretty well.  You'll definitely want a thicker mattress or some support between it and the frame if you're going to spend much time on the futon.

Can't buy parts after warrantly expires

This was really inexpensive so I feel bad to give it a low rating, but this is quite light-weight and rather flimsy. I worry every time I sit down that the bars will bend or something will go sideways. The mattress is a thin piece of foam, not a normal futon with cotton, and that is good because that is all this could handle. It's comfortable and looks nice, but I don't think it will last a year. I can see buying this for a dorm room, but not for home furnishing. Ask your college kid to sit down carefully.

Very flimsy

I bought this mattress several months ago and have had several issues, some of the thin metal bars that go left to right have snapped off the sides, one of the bolts pulled through the metal and is now stuck inside (no washers were included for it). The mattress supports both snapped off and had to be reattached with duct tape. 

As for general use, the mattress is fairly thin and doesn't do a great job of cushioning you (can feel the metal support bars fairly easily) and the bolts on the top of the back dug into the drywall. I would recommend keeping this a foot away from the wall to prevent any damage. It also leans back a bit, not too far but you are not sitting upright.

Parts broke, thin mattress was included

I bought this futon a few weeks ago to fill up my living room. Thought it might be nice to have a furniture that converts into a bed for guests. Very hard to assemble, took almost two hours. Looks nice but not comfortable at all. Very hard to sleep on. Not recommened for heavy weight people.

Not Recommened

easy to assemble but it was bent out of shape after the first week of having it. The back piece bent so bad it feels like we are sitting on a recliner. The bottom bar for the back piece broke completely off.  I would not recommend buying this product it is a huge waste of money. Take the time and go buy something worth paying for! Pictures are of the back rest and the bottom bar of the back rest.
