We find the rod very functional, but we hated the curtains. The pattern was lovely and that is why we are so disappointed the valance didn't work. The fabric was stiff, not very pliable, therefore didn't hang well. It looked awful. We tried another pattern and realized it too was hopeless. As I said, we kept the rod and bought valances elsewhere. Sorry.

Would not buy curtains again.Perhaps a different product.
