PS5 Pro Ready elegance

I'm really disappointed that Sony didn't include this with the new PlayStation 5 slims. But of course that's how it goes…cut the machine size down a bit, remove important pieces, and charge the same price. However, I needed the stand so I had to buy it.

Works

I bought it for my PlayStation 5 Pro, but even when installed correctly there is a quarter of an inch gap that allows for some play in the firmness of the stand. The original stand that came with the launch edition of the PlayStation 5 had a perfect snug fit.

Works great, a little annoying Sony turning into Apple by not putting the stand with the console, but that's the new norm

It seems the PS5 can stand up on its own on a cabinet. This feels more secure but not sure if it's needed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So....this is certainly a nice looking stand compared to the ones you got from original ps5 - which was a piece of plastic. Given that, I dont know if this is really'worth' this price if Sony just gave this one out with Playstation 5. 

This is also compatible with PS5 Pro, which is why I am getting it but it's lame that you need to spend $30   tax when this was just given in default.

Good stand, but...

It works perfectly fine for it's intended use and it's also a huge improvement aesthetically over the stand that came with the original PS5 and much easier to install as well.

I gave it a 3 out of 5 because the price is ridiculous for a piece of metal and should have been included in the box with the PS5 as standard.  

It's also just entirely unnecessary for most people.   My PS5 Pro without a disc drive stood up vertically for months with no stability issues.  I only bought it to see if there was any real benefit and there isn't.  Save yourself the money.

Sony recommended this for a brand new, overheating PS5. The stand did nothing for cooling the console. Gave it a week or 2, then returned it. Got an off brand cooling fan and it works great!
