Perfect size for daily smoothies and hot drinks.

What an amazing container. I absolutely love the stainless steel - it is far superior to the plastic in my opinion. It's sturdy and easy to clean and I'm thrilled with my purchase.

Love this!

vitamix.com

I use my Vitamix to make smoothies for my teenage son every day. After reading about the health impacts from microplastics, I decided to swap out the carafe for the stainless steel one. There was a bit of sticker shock, but there's no denying the quality. The fresh new blades whip up smoothies in seconds. Since I also use my Vitamix to puree roasted veg soups in the winter, I'll feel better about pouring hot liquids into this carafe as well.

Worth the investment

Been a vitamix owner of a 5200 series since 2010. My original 640z container was too tall so I bought an 48 oz and had been using it for the past 8 years and pouring boiling water into it over the years has begun to damage it. When I saw they now had a stainless steel container I had to have it. This is my new everything container for use, but most of all my keto coffee and smoothies. I love love love this container. Caution it's hot to the touch when hot liquids are poured into it so most definitely use the handle. Another benefit everything slides out of this container. My next purchase is the scraper. This is a must have ya'll you won't regret buying.

What's not to love about Vitamix

This is really solid and so happy they finally made a SS container…been a Vitamix user for over 20 yrs and was looking forward to this day. If it is a tad heavy, and I wish they made one just a little bit smaller for a personal smoothie size, but it's very nice for soups, sauces and larger smoothies.

Very well made

Awesome, no worries about microplastics here and way easier to clean than the plastic container. Love it! The most expensive kitchen item I've bought but also super high quality and I notice even when water dries off it - no rust.

High quality

This stainless steel container is the best!! Works so well and love that it's plastic free! Thanks for making plastic free!!

Stainless steel container

I've used vitamin blenders for the last 50 years. In that time,i've owned two: the first one was traded in because it had a stainless steel pitcher. The one i have currently has performed beautifully for the past twenty but i recently purchased the stainless pitcher for the current machine. ironically i could have stuck with the one from the 80s because of the steel pitcher. I'm a very thrifty person and the performance of Vitamix blenders far out last the initial cost. great products.

can't go wrong

I love the concept of stainless containers. Though the inside of the container narrows as it reaches the bottom of the inside. The Vitamix long grey scrapper doesn't fit. Thus, it is difficult to get any blended food out of the container. I do love that it is stainless, and measuring marks are visible inside of the container. I have removed plastics from my kitchen. I hope you make a larger container in the future, as I make most of my kitchen staples from scratch.

Stainless steel container is almost perfect

I bought the stainless steel container for my Vitamix because I am looking for ways to keep plastics away from my food, and I was happy to find this option. Vitamix products are always high quality and I am happy with the steel container. I was very disappointed to find that the lid is plastic. When I shopped on line there was no description of the lid and from the picture and the price, I expected a lid made of glass. I understand glass would be heavier and can chip, but now I am deciding what the potential is for plastic contamination of my food when using this container. If I find a strong blender with zero plastic contact with food, I may return this one. I would love for Vitamix to sell a glass lid separately. I would buy it to put on my steel container. The quality of the container itself is five stars!

Great container but lid is plastic

I love the actual vessel, but the lid is trash. It's plastic and difficult to clean. Why change the silicone one? Food gets trapped in the lid around the rim and it's very to clean. For the price of the pitcher alone, you should upgrade this.

Great vessel, horrible lid design.

We purchased the 48-ounce Stainless Steel Container expecting a premium experience given its high price point and Vitamix's reputation for quality. Unfortunately, the unit we received has been disappointing.

At low RPMs, the blade rotation produces an intermittent squeaky/squealing noise that is quite noticeable and uncomfortable to the ears. The noise seems to occur repeatedly during slower-speed operation and detracts from the overall user experience.

For comparison, we have used the standard Vitamix plastic container for years, and it runs smoothly and quietly at both low and high speeds. We did not experience any similar noises with the plastic container, which makes the behavior of the stainless steel version particularly surprising. Based on our experience, we are disappointed with the quality control and overall value of this product.

Disappointed with the Quality and Noise Level

Vitamix 1.4-litre Stainless Steel Container 48-ounce stainless-steel blender container with stainless finish, ergonomic handle and no-drip spout, clear BPA-free Tritan lid and low-profile tamper; laser-cut hardened blades and Self-Detect compatibility with Ascent/Venturist series, compact profile fits under overhead cabinets. Often used for single-serve smoothies or small-batch nut butters.
