Takes some finicking,but everything said on this thread is basically user error.had this for a bit now for my drone.
Cheap don't really care about it. 30 dollars vs 2 to 300 dollar go pro. No thanks if I loose it. Or it breaks. Yawns.
You know? Its whatever. Use it for a lot of stuff. If tried to give it abit of a rugged purpose use. But it seems to stay resilient.

It's a good camera, and it takes good pictures.  However, for being a supposedly rugged camera, the screen cracked just by being in my pocket.  The rubber case was on the camera at the time. The other minor but frustrating thing is that the micro SD card slot is upside-down, so you can't easily use your fingernail to  take the card out.

I got this for my 9 year old. It worked great the 1st day for what he wanted to use it for.  But by day 2 it was already broken. The port the charger goes into fell out. If that wouldn't have happened i think this would have been a great little camera for a kid.

could have been a good camera

used one time underwater. it did not even make it the whole day before you could see water under the screen. Then it wouldn't turn on and when we took the rubber off, it had started to rust and I know that wasn't there before. I wish I would have taken a picture of it before I returned it but I wanted to make sure I got it returned within 30 days to get my money back.

My 7 yr old wanted a cool camera/vidoe recorder to take pictures and videos and use in the pool. He used it 1 time in the water and now it won't turn on or work. Mind you he was only in 3 1/2 feet of water. Price was good. But in the end he now has nothing. Do not recommend. Unless you plan on staying on dry land.

Not true about waterproof

it says it's freeze proof, but took it out skiing and it got all wonky and would not even work. Got it inside for a while and then it's ok. Tested this several times and each time the cold makes it stop working and it flips through menu options automatically and acts crazy. returned product, not worth the trouble.

got this to be a simple webcam that can double as a barcode scanner, it fails at either. the interface is so clunky you need to actually read the manual. to get to the usb port you have to take the skin off first. even though its 12mp its doesn't have autofocus so the result is a picture that is easily outdone by my 5mp camera on my cheap smartphone that can at least focus enough to scan a barcode. if you made it this far than take my warning and avoid this camera.
