I needed a relatively small fan on my desk while I worked on my computer.  This fan is super quiet and I really like the smooth and infinitely adjustable speed knob.  It's much better than fans with 3 fixed speed settings.  Some times I like just a whisper of air movement and it's easy with this fan, the low setting on other fans I've had were never low enough.  But on high, this fan is still quiet but really moves the air.  So far, I'm totally happy with this little work horse of a fan. Only somewhat negative, was it's a little high on the price.

Great Little Desk Fan

The fan is extremely quiet at low to mid speeds and at higher speeds it is louder but not excessively so. The size is perfect for our bedroom, though we have also used it in our larger living room; both times the space was kept very comfortable.  Love having the flexibility of being able to select just the right speed as needed. Overall very satisfied with this purchase.

I chose this fan after reading some “quietest fan” articles because our cheap fan had been keeping me up at night. The vornado was just what I needed. For a gentle breeze we can't hear it at all, or just barely, so I can sleep and stay cool. At faster speeds which move a TON of air it gets loud, but we don't need that at night. We also like that the speed is a continual dial rather than the usual 3 settings which lets you choose exactly the speed you want.

SUPER QUIET

I am  long-time customer,  have the old Model 533, which is still working fine. I just needed an additional fan. This is a nice model and real quiet. I would have liked to purchase a "Made in the USA" model, but I had already checked out. Perhaps you could make the 
"Made in the USA" section heading larger at the top of the dashboard?

Good Air Circulator for the monies.

I had Vornado fans since the 90s. I have two of these, one for the LR and one for the BR. Very, very soft at lowest settings. The settings are variable. Quite a lot of white noise at the top setting, but that's why I got it. LOVE the white noise of a fan for sleeping! Excellent buy! Highly recommend!!

Great Little Fan!

I ordered two of these fans because we used the Baby Vornado space heaters last winter.  They are amazingly wonderful as well, by the way!  Anyway, these fans are quiet and circulate air very well.  Happy to say they have helped me avoid using our air conditioner so far which is a huge plus for me.

Lives up to the Vornado name!

My son lives with me and runs hot. I run cold. If he could have a year round indoor temperature of 60 degrees, he'd be happy. I prefer 72, with no drafts thank you very much.

This small Vornado is just the thing. Diffuses the air blast so that I am not cold and drafty - and provides him with enough breeze for comfort.  P.S. - he uses the larger version for his large studio room.

hard to believe how effective

I live in a small (app. 400 ft^2), unventilated studio apartment with one window and have been surprised by how efficiently this fan moves air, even at slower speeds. It has done wonders to keep the air inside my apartment fresh. I've not yet had the opportunity to test it in the summer heat, but I have no doubt that it will perform well. By far the best feature of this fan is its variable speed. At night I sleep with it on at low speed and when I am cleaning and need to freshen the room or dry laundry indoors, I open the window and front door and let it blast for a couple hours. I hope and expect that this product will perform well over time at nearly constant use, because I definitely see myself using it constantly!

Excellent little fan

As a grad student living in a dorm without AC, I wanted a quality fan that will last for more than a year or two. I was a little skeptical about the fan when I saw it was made of plastic, but it is substantial and not low-quality. I love the range from soft to strong speeds the fan has. I wish the power cord was slightly longer, but that's the only thing I can nit-pick about. Would highly recommend!

Everything I wanted from a small fan

one month review.  Black dust completely covering blades and grill cover.  this dust is from the carbon brushes in the motor. it gets all over everything and is impossible to remove.  intake grill has a massive crack in it that i missed when i purchased.  only noticed when disassembling fan to clean.  theres no way this fan lasts more than a year.  its a great concept, but fan is utter trash.  Definitely regret this purchase.  should have stuck with the DC vornado.
