I purchased this humidifier a month ago after returning several ultrasonic ones that left a white mist everywhere and didn't seem to help the bedroom much. The vornado is a game-changer. It keeps the entire room moist, without creating damp carpet spots or white mist on the furniture. You can choose cold, lukewarm or warm mist depending on your needs or preference. The unit is very easy to clean, but due to the steam, it does not require half the maintenance of other types of humidifiers. It is extremely easy to refill and efficient. I love this model and recommend it to anyone looking to humidify small to medium sized rooms.

Excellent Quality, Lots of Features

I really love the clear tanks with the wide openings. I know immediately if there's a water clarity issue. I've had mine a few weeks and run it 24/7 without issues. I set it at 50% humidity and let it go. I've cleaned the tanks twice but I keep a Protec Humidifier Cleaning Fish in each tank. When I saw the water was a little murky in one tank I broke everything down according to the manufacturers instructions, cleaned with bleach and reassembled. Next cleaning I'll have to use distilled vinegar to remove buildup on the heating element. Considering it's continuous running while my heat is on and ease of use in operation and filling the tanks, it's the best of the 4 humidifiers I've owned.

A breeze to operate and keep the tanks clean!

We have owned this humidifier for a month and it works so well.  Adds just the right amount of moisture to the air and operates quietly.  I like all the different options, as well.

Works perfectly for our needs!

I bought the A1 initially for a single room, and then loved it so much I bought the A2 for a bigger common room.  Steam is the only way to go for a humidifier, and this is the best of the best -- and I did a lot of research on this before I made my purchase.  Highly recommend.

Love it

Between work and home, I have 5 humidifiers (and one dehumidifier - it's the South) in my life and this Vornado Element A2 is the best of the best. It's small but extremely effective, easy to use, and somehow magically stays cleaner than the others, too. No wicks, no bulky parts - just pure efficiency across the board. Don't hesitate to get one.

The Winner - Hands Down!

We've bee using this humidifier for a few weeks and really enjoy it - it's quiet and it's easy to use as well as easy to refill. We had issues with delivery as Fed Ex claimed it was delivered, but it wasn't, and then when Fed Ex opened a case they promptly closed it a week later saying they couldn't find the package. Vornado sent us a replacement humidifier, thus we weren't put out by FedEx's mistake, which is excellent customer service on the part of Vornado!

Great Product and Excellent Customer Service

This is a fantastic humidifier. It makes an actual difference in the feel of the room. It's quiet and easy to keep clean and hygienic. My only disappointment with it is the display. In one of the product videos I watched before purchasing, it was advertised as dimming in response to the lighting of the room. Mine did not, and when I called Vornado Customer Service, the very nice rep told me that she'd asked the product designers who confirmed that the display was only supposed to dim "a little." This was annoying to me, because like most people, I want to use the humidifier in my room at night, and the light it produces is extremely bright. I had to cut out a piece of paperboard to cover it, and tape it to the humidifier. Not ideal. :/

Great humidifier; display does not dim

No filters to replace, no wicks to clean or replace. This little wonder generates TONS of water vapor. ...enough to humidify about 1500sq. ft.  The only drawback is because it's so good, you have to fill the tanks at least twice per day if it's running all the time. You'll also need to clean and descale it once a week (soak the power head for an hour in vinegar or descaling solution). The minerals in your water have to go somewhere! Boiling water also makes a little burbling noise but it's not intrusive. It's just not as quiet as an ultrasonic. ...But no minerals in the air and no "white dust" everywhere. Highly recommend this product.

Cranks out tons of clean, mineral-free water vapor

I bought this about a month ago. First the handle snapped off while I was carrying a full tank back to the machine. It cracked so I wound up with water everywhere. 

Then it just stopped working. They're sending me a replacement which was very hassle free so at least they have the customer service thing down. 

I just expected better quality especially at the price.

Stopped working

I bought this hoping to increase the humidity of my office. I have an "Awair" air quality monitor that gives my humidity measurements too. The Element A2 was unable to maintain any consistent humidity %, and would only work if set higher than 50% humidity, indicating that its hygrometer is inaccurate. But, that is livable, if annoying.

The other day, it suddenly started leaking. Thankfully I can see it from my desk because one of the tanks was emptying out and would have damaged our floor.

For a flagship, top of the line unit, this was extremely disappointing. I love my other Vornado products, but they are all fans. Maybe stick to the fans.
