Great router, but a lot more hoss than I expected. My only complaintss are (1) the accessories inside were loose and rattling around in the case; the base plate hole pattern does not fit any router table or accessories. I like the ability to use 1/4 or 1/2 inch shanks by installing a reducing collet. Before you buy, better check whether your other stuff is compatible.

Great tool, but packaging sloppy.

For a hundred bucks ,it will fill your needs as a plunge router .The switch  doesn't lock so won't work on a router table .The base opening is small ,so if you have a large collection of 1/2 bits ,most won't fit through the small rectangle and not enough metal  to make it larger. Soft start and speed work fine. The collet lock binds but loosening the housing screws will allow it to  release .I will probably keep it for lightweight plunging but really need one that  has a locking switch and will accept bits larger than 1 and 3/4 inches across .Gave a three rating because ,I assume when you buy in this price range ,you get what you pay for .

Okay if all you plan on doing is plunge routing.

I purchased 2 of the so that I could set one up in a router table but so far no table anywhere seems to work with this one. I'll be returning the second one since they either don't mount, don't work with the depth controls and/or the speed controls.  I don't like fiddling around under the table every time I need to adjust an 1/8 of an inch.  For free hand routing its got plenty of power.  The speed control is a bit awkward and the springs on the height adjustment are a bit stiff for my preference.  The edge guide also doesn't seem to fit the track for my track saw.  it's not a dealbreaker since aftermarket guides are available.  Its a bit on the heavier side so you'll need to keep control of it while the spinning death blades aka router bits are in motion.  Get high quality bits and its a good choice for a plunge router.

No table anywhere seems to fit this router

The device is not designed to be mounted on router tables. meaning it will be only used on multipliable action, the manufacturer declined to recommend any other third party router tables. The device provides the primary router's functions which are ok related to its cost. In general speaking, it might be ok for beginners and for basic woodwork shaping

It's under powered and the base plate needs to be circular. Can't ride along a guide without getting in trouble. Also won't fit available tables.
