Outstanding 2-slice toaster and one of the best I've ever owned (and I've had and tested many). This Wahl toaster is well-built with a solid (not thin or flimsy) stainless steel wrap-around body. When depressing  the lever, the toaster stays in place with smooth action and feel. The 6 darkness settings in the window are easy to see and accurate. It produces excellent toasting results. The lack of display electronics in favor of mechanical is a huge plus as it likely will have much better longevity. This quality toaster is as good as it gets, especially when on sale. These non-electronic type of toasters are being phased out and disappearing, unfortunately.

this is a really great toaster pretty basic but does everything you need. I will say that there is a photo in the description when you purchase it that shows patterns on the toast. it does not create patterns. other than that, it's really cool. toaster

This is an amazing toaster.  We use it almost daily and it makes great toast.  
It has 5 or 6 setting for just the color toast that appeals to you.  I like the %232 setting, but our grandson likes %233, just a little darker.  It is very pretty with 
copper-tone details on the front. It is made of stainless steel and is quality made.  I looked at the features on several brands but decided on this one.  I am so glad I did.  I highly suggest this toaster if you are looking for a great looking toaster that is quality made.

Here's the toaster for you!

I purchased this toaster during a flash sale, so it was a great price. I was intrigued by the multiple shade settings, (I eat a wide variety of bread).
Sadly, I only use settings 1 and 2.  There are times that 2 makes the bread darker than I like. I haven't been curious enough to even consider trying settings 5 and 6. Why waste a good peice of bread?

rather disappointed

i was looking for a quality, dependable replacement for a cheap toaster that only lasted a few months. Found this one online at a discounted price with good reviews so pulled the trigger. Ive been pleased with it so far. Had to get accustomed to the temperature dial settings to get my toast the way i want it, and its still guessy , but it does a decent job at toast , pretty even toasting . Seems to be good quality and hope it last a while. It looks really nice on the counter.

Good Quality Toaster

Works fine and has 2 separate dials for each side which is really nice. However, the entire toaster gets hot…so do not let your bread or bagel bag touch the outside while it is toasting or you will have a melted bag on your toaster. Keep kids away too or they will get burned!

Works but Entire Toaster gets HOT!

The toaster is nice and will hold thick bread and or bagels with ease. I would've given 5 stars but on the lowest setting for toast it doesn't toast and on setting 1 it's very close to being burnt. Settings from 1-5 and if I go on setting 2 it's black haha. So i gave it 3 stars but should've given maybe 2? I wouldn't buy this one again.

To be fair, I WAS looking for an inexpensive replacement when my old toaster quit. This one looked nice with the contrasting metal tones and I thought the wide slots would be a great feature. While wider slots are good for bagels and thick bread I found that a ‘long slice' feature would have been better to accommodate the kinds of bread used the most. This toaster was clearance priced so there was my deal. I can't imagine paying more for this as it is so cheaply made. It's so light it feels unstable when pressing down on the toaster knob and the cord is very short, probably good for safety but it limited where I could use it, definitely not in my overhead plugs in the dedicated counter workspace where I planned to use it. Toasting darkness dial gives inconsistent results. Don't be taken in by the flashy appearance.

A flash in the pan

This toaster has five settings. Setting 1  is not even browned a little bit while 2-5 are varying levels of burnt beyond being edible. I understand the high settings being intended for dozen items, but there is no setting appropriate for toasted bread. Returning.

Cheap

I was not impressed when I first got it, but I kept it. Now it doesn't work! All of a sudden only one element works the other three do not. When you push push it down, it won't stay down. So I had to hold it and flip the toast and that was not working so well. I would not advise anyone to purchase.
