Easy to use

I had tried the cheap ones before, the panel wasn't that sensitive. Now this is a real machine, the panel is very sensitive and the "lid" that comes down is firm and forceful. Worked at the first try =)

Works like charm!

Bought it to catch mice in my house backyard. It was so annoying seeing many mice wandering from one corner to another and even in the middle of the backyard. The numbers have multipled significantly after living in my brand new house since I bought it five years ago. My neighbors use lots of top soil for their summer plants. The thick soil was a hiding place and a habitat for mice, needless to say a close neighbor has a dog who allowed it to use their backyard to do the poops business but does not clean it at all. This has worsened the situation even more.

Short story.. I have used the trap on the first night I bought it and it caught 4 mice. It is very sensitive once the mouse steps on the sinking leaver that causes the trap jaw to snap and catchs the mouse. 
I highly recommend it for the job it is designed for.

This trap really does the job !!!

Pros: Easy set, bait and disposal. Work great first  night.
Cons: Not for large rats, they pry themselves out somehow.  Trigger pads are too big which trips the trap before the rats can even get their head or body in.  2 out of the 3 rats caught had their arms broken instead, reaching in and suffered.  After that got rid of the traps.

Not for  the faint of heart!!!

The rat has triggered this trap 8 times and lived to tell about it. I paid more than the wood trap, and don't feel it was worth it. It did kill a small mouse, so that is why I gave it a 1 rating.

Not strong enough for a rat

It takes too much pressure to spring this trap. I dropped a large driver bit from 6 inches before it sprung. Mice and smaller rats will crawl all over it. Use an old fashion spring trap instead.

Small rats get a free lunch
