For price great product. I have painted a fence and my house shutters. I can't help but make a mess with this from overspray, drips, etc. Works great outdoors, especially on odd shapes. I would not use inside but it may be a me issue.

This is my first paint sprayer and I loved it. Very fast and even spraying. Allows me to save on paint as well over using a brush. So far it is pretty reliable.

Good buy, quality product.

I bought this sprayer to paint a 6-foot privacy fence with solid water-based stain. It took about 4 hours to fully paint 165 feet of 6-foot fence, and the sprayer worked perfectly without overheating. There was no need to thin the stain. It can spatter just a bit, but on the fence material it's completely unnoticeable once the stain dries. It took about 3.5 gallons of stain to cover the fence, and I didn't have any trouble with show-through. The sprayer is easy to handle, although it can be a bit heavy when the cup is full of paint. The instructions are clear. The only cons are: 1. it takes WAY more than 5 minutes to completely clean. It took about 10 minutes to clean after I had to stop for a while, and about 25 minutes to completely clean when I was all finished. 2. The overspray is a bit harder to control than I would have liked. But I'm happy with the sprayer, and with the results.

Great for stain on fences

I gave it 4 stars because it sprayed fine, but the paint I think was drying too fast and it left a sandpaper like finish. I need to learn more about this thing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered my Wagner Paint Gun online and received it promptly.   I used it to paint my daughters bedroom. Wow.  It took a fraction of the time to paint that it did to prep and tape room.  I really liked the finished product.  I didn't have to change from roller to brush to get edges or corners.

Loved the final product

I have had this sprayer just about 1 year.  First project was a set of outdoor stairs and small landing area.  Sprayer did a fine job.  Now it is time to paint my house.  Half way through the project the sprayer motor stopped.  I had been painting the house in sections and because of my schedule, there was a day or more resting period between sections.  I cleaned the sprayer completely after each use.  It is dead and just about a year old.  It did a fine job painting but does me no good if it is not working.

It died

I bought the sprayer to stain my deck railings. Started out as claimed but began to spray air without the trigger being touched, then shortly began dripping stain from the nozzle even with the product control set to minimum. There was far more overspray than I expected. But , I will say tht it did cleanup very easily.

Not as expected

Bought 2 weeks ago. Worked very well with thick semisolid stain--no dilution needed. Did the whole deck very nicely. Last project I tried to spray primer on the garage. It splattered then stopped and then started leaking. The leak pushed primer in the motor and it seized and will no longer works. This is very easy to use and assemble and I did the same procedure as the deck. In short, I don't feel it was user error.

Worked great. For a while.

Purchased this sprayer because it clearly says in the product description details that it works for ceilings and use with latex paint.  Yeah...definitely should have rolled my ceilings.  The sprayer simply doesn't put out a wide enough spray pattern evenly enough to make ceilings an efficient project.  My shoulders are killing me after one small bedroom was completed and about 3/4 of another.  I'm sure it will be great for the smaller projects I have coming up but the description was misleading and this is simply not the right tool for the job if you're painting ceilings.

Not worth it

Worked great for 3 hours, then would not stop spraying regardless of what you did with trigger. Cleaned thoroughly twice, but could not fix the problem. Wagner troubleshoot section in manual does not list this, nor do they provide an 800 number for assistance.
