The Wagner FLEXiO 590 is an indoor/outdoor hand-held sprayer kit for all projects. Nozzle's fragility leads to cracking and clogging issues.

I painted my house twice , once in the 80s and again in the 90s with the original Wagner spray painter. That one disappeared in a move but it did a very decent job so when I decided to try again I read the reviews and even though I saw some bad ones - I tried the 590. Worked just fine. Its quieter and has less vibration than the older one. The spray pattern can be adjusted easily. Used it for my deck and porch also which I couldn't do with the old one. No problem when spraying level, up or down. Its so much easier to clean than old one too.

works better than i expected. went through 3 gallons of paint in no time. I had one of the old type sprayers and this is much better.  put the old sprayer in the trash.

Did the first coat. was pretty impressed. Started the second coat about 40 minutes later. Wasn't spraying like it was before. Soaked the nozzle pieces in a bucket of soapy hot water. Gave them a little scrub, sprayed some hot soapy water thru the device and it was working good as new again. I'm very satisfied with this product. Just have to keep it clean. Not let the paint dry and its a good device.

This is the first Wagner I have owned in 20 years. Easy set up. Easy clean up.
These sprayers have come a long way.

For those that have trouble with spray patterns, clogged tips, splattering and spitting paint.... THIN THE PAINT!

Wagner says you can spray latex and oil based paint right out of the can.... Good luck! Latex should be thinned in the hopper 3/4 paint. 1/4 water. Stir Stir Stir. Do multiple light coats.

I finished eight pre-hung primed interior doors and six closet bifolds in 30 minutes. Two coats each side semigloss. FANTASTIC RESULTS.

CLEAN UP A SNAP. Remember to use a bread bag tie to poke through the small vent tube hole on the upper side of the paint pick up each time.

Wagner make it cheap and easy

I painted my old brick fire place white. I taped off around the edges and used 8" paint paper in case I over sprayed. Taping took me the most time and I would have taped if I roller or sprayed. I sprayed with a primer then white paint. It only took two coats and about 10 minutes max! I was so pleased. If I had rolled that fire place it would have taken much longer and I would have had to use a brush for the cracks! Also I hate cleaning brushes and especially rollers so I thought the clean up was easy!

I have finished painting a house with this sprayer and it did a good job. I would suggest thinning the paint a little.. I was using exterior latex and at times I did have some spattering.. Once thinned 4 oz of water to the gallon the results were much better.

I have always used airless sprayers in the past and this was a good option at this price point..

So far so good

I bought this to paint an interior room and the outside of my house. I primed the room with Kilz primer with no problem. I cleaned the sprayer and the next day started to spray the room with latex paint. The first two walls it sprayed okay, but halfway through the third wall without warning it started spitting out big globs of paint which ran down the wall. I cleaned the nozzle started spraying again and two minutes later it did the same thing again. The rest of the room continued on the same way. I guess I know why they included a spare nozzle in the kit.

I'm a retired body man, I've sprayed thousands of gallons of automotive paint, so I know my way around a paint gun, every one of my HVLP spray guns has a basket strainer on the material tube, perhaps this could benefit from one.

Now I will have to wait until it dries enough to sand the runs out, and roll it like I should have done in the first place. 

I will say that Walmart took it back with no problems.

Nozzle clogs easily with latex paint

Had to re-stain fairly large deck with overhead trellis -- LOTS of 1x1s on the overhead trellis -- and figured a sprayer was only way to go so I took the plunge and bought a Flexio 590, my first paint sprayer. Stain was a latex based "solid stain" that's pretty thick. Read the manual before starting, used iSpray nozzle with pressure and material flow settings as specified in manual and started out on the practice template provided. Soon had globs of paint spitting all over and paint leaking out of nozzle even when I released trigger. Figured I had bought a piece of junk and went to clean it before returning it. Found that locking nut was not tight and thought that might have been cause of my problems. So thoroughly cleaned it all up, made sure all was tight and tried it again. This time it worked as advertised, but had to play around with pressure and flow settings -- finally going with high pressure and low material flow settings. Next problem was that nozzle would clog after just 1 - 2 fillings of plastic paint reservoir, and once the nozzle was clogged the only way to fix/prevent spitting and globbing of paint spray was to remove and clean the nozzle and to do that every time I refilled the paint container. I became pretty proficient at removing, cleaning and reinstalling the nozzle after doing it about 20 times, but there must be a better way! Overall, the 590 certainly saved me a ton of time vs a brush/roller/pad, even with constant cleaning of nozzle, but it was more than a little frustrating.

I purchased the 590 with the intent of achieving a fine spray finish on custom cabinets I built for my home office. But, after perfecting many miter cuts and sanding my cabinets to perfection the 590 ruined my cabinet finish. I read the instructions, purchased compatible paint, adjusted the flow and volume, and practiced on cardboard but halfway through the first coat it started spraying globs of paint, which I had to go back over with a fine roller. Also, I had to strip down and clean the gun between coats, which is very messy and time consuming. I attempted the final coat and again halfway thru it started to spray globs of paint. My purpose for using the 590 was to achieve a fine spray finish, but I wound up having to use a roller anyway and achieved your typical finish. This product might be good for an outdoor project where you are only trying to slop on paint, but I would not recommend it for a professional finish. I would save yourself time and money and just use a good old roller and pan. In summary, the 590 as a complete waste of time and money.
