Worked great! I made sure to use energizer batteries. I don't know why but my husband swears by them. Also my poodle loves these, super quiet and no fuss. These are a five star rating all the way! Thanks Whal-Mart!

Works Great!

Effective and very quiet for animals that are fearful. I cut my nails much shorter without hurting the animal. Just be careful to go there by small stroke because if you stay too long on the same claw the animal can feel a burning.

Been using mine for a few years now (June 2020). For the price, works well. Use it weekly to take the tip off and generally make the nail smoother. Yes patience is required as it can work slower at times with contact but good for the product/value. Would like to find out how to get drum replacements.

Works well

I have been using the grinder now for several weeks and it works great for me and my dog. I find the drum stops only when her long hair gets in there (I prevent that now with an old panty hose pushed over her nails), other than that it grinds them nicely. I have not had to change the batteries or the drum yet after grinding her nails every other week. As a sheltie, she has fairly small nails, so I don't know if the machine might be too weak for larger dogs, but it works great for us, she likes this a lot better than the clippers.

not strong enough for a dog's nail. sanding band gets caught when used.

This item is not worth one dollar. It has no power for "smoothing" my dogs nails. Soon as the nail touches the drum sander it dies. New batteries were used.

Absolute garbage

Even using brand new batteries, this device is so weak it completely stops as soon as the nail touches lightly. Really wish I had read reviews before buying.

Waste of Money

Bought this product last week. The quality of the product is very poor. Each time we tried to use it the motor was so weak it would stop rotating. We were not able to do even one toe on our dogs foot.
