I have been indoor cycling for a number of years and have used various mats under my trainers. The first was a generic cushioned mat that wore well. Later I went to various plastic and rubber floor coverings which did not perform as expected. 

After some trial, I decided to go back to a purpose-built mat. After a couple of rides, I noticed a big difference in the quietness of my environment, the mat stayed put, even when using the Kikr and Climb, and I like the denser foam, which I didn't have on my original mat.

Overall, I think the mat is a good product and well worth the price.

The mat seems durable and does what I wanted it to do. Catch sweat, hold the Kickr Cor so it won't slide around and protect the floor.

Kickr Mat

I've ridden Inside Ride Rolkers for two years and recommend them highly but never really could focus on hill training because to get the watts up high enough you either had to pedal in the highest gear or nearly fall off because adding the magnetic resistance kept you from attaining the speed to remain upright without careful attention. I knew I needed a trainer but none of the ones I've tried were worth anything for training above 150-170 watts. I researched the wahoo and gave it a try. I'm thoroughly impressed. It can simulate a real road ride with intense hill training and 400 watts is very obtainable. Now it is still a rigid trainer with those limitations of no freedom of movement like rollers, but it destroys the legs as a trainer should with excellent resistance variability. It has so many settings that muscle confusion is a constant if that is what you want or it can provide static training. I've only used it for a week but it is my opinion that battling the cold to get a hill workout in will never be first on my agenda to do now that I have this tool. I will still use the rollers to work on technique but power training is with the Wahoo Kickr.

KickR Mat

Does the job, but wish it was:
Smoother to facilitate cleaning. 
Easier to uncoil. I've had mine a few weeks and it still won't lay flat. 
Firmer. My cleats dig into it and I'm afraid it will tear. 
Cheaper. It is tremendously overpriced.

Overpriced

Not as thick as I expected and I have to be careful when wearing cleats as I suspect they would go through the mat. However it looks great with the Kickr bike Shift!

When I received it,the first thing I noted was the blue power trainer in the RH back corner was no longer printed on the mat - so this was just a plain black mat with K
