This clock is NOT the best for reading the time pending the color of the wall you hang it on! We have beige walls in our livingroom and we thought this clock would look great in this area. We put the clock on the wall and you really couldn't make out the time, especially and certian angles. We decided to put the clock in our office. The walls are painted a bright yellow, apparently this was a better color for this type of clock design.
