Can be comprehensive, but sometimes lacking or confusing.

I bought this after my original disposal started to leak. I had a couple of coworkers that had put them in at their houses and really liked them. It took me longer to put in a receptacle to plug this one in than it did to install it. Easy to install and it is quiet. I really appreciate the long warranty also.

Easy DIY Installation

Instructions were spot on.  Perfect fit replacement for my old 3/4hp unit.The Ez mount bracket was so much faster than the standard unit.  Comes with a 3 prong power cord already.  Hardest part was changing the wiring to direct mount.  Wish the internal wires were heavier gauge and copper instead of silver.  Quiet running.  Very light unit.  Have not tested it with food yet. Box delivered in was heavily damaged but no signs of damage to disposal outer area.

Installs very easy

I bought this for my husband's Christmas gift. He had no trouble putting it in. I went to work and wen I came home the disposal was in with a power switch(not included) and everything. He sai it was the easiest one he's ever put in! It is very quiet too, for a garbage disposal. Very good product!!!

Easy to install and terrific utility

I can't believe how light weight it is. I remember when they weighed alot and the install would take an afternoon. It took longer to remove the old unit than to install the new one. 1/2 hour and I was done! It's so quiet and my wife loves it.

10-7-2014, I replaced a 7 year old badger 5 with this unit. Basically the badger did leak from the bottom.
I decided for the small difference in price and the good reviews, to purchased this unit!
NOTE: I probably should have paid attention to the one review that said to use putty.

All went well, except I used the provided washers for the sink flange with NO putty.
Well we have a castiron sink and the flange seals did not seal properly. Why ??
The disposal worked just fine, but the drain flange did leak when running water in the sink.
I decided to loosen the drain flange again, to insert a roll of plumbers putty around the flange, retightened, and then all was well. I like this unit!

Oh, I did not get a warranty card. I will call them to register my unit. A Nice unit SO FAR!

Nice quiet unit, reasonable with a great warranty

perfect fit

If you have thought about weather you could replace your broken garbage disposal yourself,
consider this. I'm 82 years old and I replaced our's. had to build a simple stand to hold up the
unit to make the connection as my one arm was not able to hold up the disposal and it took me
a few hours to do the job but I saved the cost of having a plumber doing the job.

Site-to-store delivery was excellent. The unit came 2 days earlier than expected. The unit seems well made and was a perfect fit to replace my 20+ year old 3/4 HP unit. Other brands sold at local stores cost more and looked cheaply made. This unit got very good reviews online and has an 8-year warranty. It took about 30 minutes to install. I used silicone spray to ease the final twist & lock installation. No plumber's putty was required. It seems slightly louder than the old unit, but it spins faster and feels stronger. It has been working great so far. I hope to get 20+ years out of it.

Great Replacement Unit for Home

As of yet the best Disposer I have ever had. Has an 8yr warranty only time will tell lets go...

I selected this model based on its easy to install claim. Only when I read the instructions did I learn that there are 15 sub assembly steps. The worst part for me was hoisting the unit up while lining up 2 very small square areas and twisting before it stayed in place. Very difficult and taking multiple tries to accomplish. My advice for others is to put nail polish or similar on these small squares so that you have some hope of seeing them while lining them up.

I haven't installed the new disposer, yet, but from reading the instructions, the installation will be very easy. I am replacing my old Waste King disposer which has given me over 17 years of excellent service. I expect this Waste Kind disposer to give me at least that many years of excellent service.
