[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this book. It is very helpful for learning painting techniques. The only thing I think would make it better is to have the practice pages on the right side so it lays flat.

It shows the finished painting on the right, and has a faint outline of the picture on the left page to help young painters successfully complete their painting.

Homeschool art

Awesome book for anyone who wants to paint with watercolor and not have to sketch first. Its like a coloring book for watercolor. Starts with the basics and what materials you need, which is not much. Then there are 50 different forest type items, leaves, animals, flowers, insects etc. to paint with instructions on how to do each one. I already bought the other book by this author, In the Ocean, and finished it. It greatly improved my skills. These books are a lot of fun.

Love this book.

This book is amazing BUT all the pics you paint are on the left page. This means your instructions are on the right page, if you are right handed you will understand when you go to paint this. Also with the pic on the back of a page you are not getting a flat surface to paint on. I figured out on the 1st page that since it is not flat the water will pool and run if you are not careful.
