Switch works reasonably well most of the time but loses internet connection occasionally and needs to be reset.  I REALLY dislike the fact that it needs an AppleTV or HomePod to enable automations.  This was NOT required with the previous generation. Just another ploy to extract more money from customers.  I'll likely move to another brand, perhaps the ORVIBO Matter-Certified switches.

OK, but not the best

I've always chosen the Belkin brand over others until recently. Now they tend to rely on the iPhone or google apps to run which isn't always preferred by your customers. I didn't mind paying more for the brand when it ran off your own app, but I have since moved on.

Change isn't always good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I feel like WeMo switches have really gone downhill. I still have several old plugs and switches that just work, no problem. These new ones, which rely on HomeKit instead of the WeMo app, continually get stuck “updating” or need to be rediscovered and set up anew. It's really disappointing. I've yet to get one to work as intended for more than a couple of days.

Really miss the former quality of WeMo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The install process was easy, as was the adding the device to my Apple Home setup, hence 2 stars
However this product only works with apple home, hence you can't use the Wemo app to control the switch when it refuses to connect home app which seems to be quite often resulting in automation routines not working as expected
Since it can't be seen by the Wemo app, it is not possible to use Google home as a substitute
They are not worth the increased cost over the standard switch, at least until thread becomes a reality which it isn't today sadly

What you need to know before buying this switch

Terrible customer servoce

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Does not function as promised. Switch is properly installed (even though the URL for 3-way installation in the paperwork leads to a 404 error). It takes 2 presses to turn on and 2 presses to turn off. I have read on the internet others are having the same issue. I am hoping Belkin issues a software fix soon else this is going back.

Wemo smart switch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's crazy Wemo made a device that doesn't work with the Wemo app or Google home. They are no longer a good company for smart homes. Thread is great but you need to maintain integration. Probably should have gone with Lutron all along.

Lack of integration

Switch doesn't connect to Wemo App. I have 5 other switches connected, but this new one is not able to connect via the QR code or six digit number. No smart functions so it is just an over priced regular switch. Not good.

Doesn't connect to Wemo App

All Belkin products are bad as Siri or Apple Maps. They don't install, some are only 2.4GHz, many don't work with IFTTT. They disconnect out of nothing. Not reliable at all.

As bad as Siri

Set up this light switch yesterday and it was pretty easy but it does not respond correctly in the home app. The switch will turn on from the app but then toggling it off does nothing. Then toggling it back on it then turns off. There is also a decent delay from pushing the button physically to then get a response from light. Really frustrated with how poorly this device is working.

I wouldn't recommend it

Installed and setup with iPhone. Just what I need to automatically turn my outdoor lights on and off.
