I am a first-time griller and started out with grilling vegetables and they turned out fantastic!   Next was smoked/grilled chicken wings and they were great also.  I love the temperature gauge on the lid, it helps a lot when I need to know when the grill is ready to cook on.  Looking forward to many hours of grilling this year!!!

I express myself through my Weber kettle. I know how silly that must sound. We began as a species in search of fire - Weber provides a stage to control that fire to cook with.

The Weber Way

This grill is. Game changer! The premium 22 in. Grill is the one to get. It is a great cooking experience every time. The taste the flavor is excellent! I also use every feature this grill has to offer! It's every thing you need nothing you don't. The ash management system is excellent. The add charcoal feature is great. The grate hangs on the grill along with the lid. I am very happy I decided to purchase the 22 in premium kettle charcoal grill!!

A must have grill!!

I have always used propane and took a big leap of faith trying this charcoal grill. The first time was a huge learning curve, but the second go was smooth! I absolutely love it! The flavor is unmatched. I do wish the "hook" to hang the lid was a little more prominent, I typically just set it on the ground instead. Completely happy and will probably never go back to propane!

I'm a convert!

My first Weber. I love it but find the temp gauge not really useful in its location. One below the baffle on the lid would be much more strategically placed.

1st Weber.

Had to give up my first Weber grill due to a move a decade ago. Moved again and got the improved version with the ash catcher and other accessories. Grill love even better second time around.

The grill I always wanted, and have again

I had the same model for 15 years until the leg mounts to the base rusted off and it collapsed.  There are few improvements to the old design, with the heat shield at the handle and slightly improve ash removal arrangement being the most notable.  That said, I'll bet ours was not the first to have the legs fall off. (Which is surprising given it was under several official Weber covers it's entire existence.). So, while 15 years is pretty good, I think it could be better.

It's the Same as My Old One

I have only used it a few times and mostly happy with it. Except that I wish the lid fit onto the base a little better. If its not set just right your fire will be 100*-200* higher than intended. Resulting in potentially burnt food. So I wish Weber would address that. Otherwise I think it’s a great cooker for those who want to cook “hot & fast”.

Better for hot and fast than low and slow!??.

Pros= cooks very good! ash collecting pan system works great. Kettle finish is very nice, strong and durable
Im  no pro, but I find the grill legs height are a bit short and have a  flimsy feel at the kettle leg socket. Also the height from the cooking surface to the lid/dome top could be a little higher / taller to accommodate a whole chicken. Also, wish the whole grill was an inch or two higher off the ground maybe longer legs  legs. and sturdier leg inserts in the kettle itself...

Pros and cons

Plenty of grill space for both direct and indirect grilling. Nice fittings and such. Ash dump system is nifty, but because the leg connection to the grill housing is a tad on the loose side, the whole grill wobbles a fair bit when dumping the ashes.

Darned fine grill, if a touch wobbly.

Consumer Care

The Quality just isn’t there with Weber anymore. I’ve been a loyal Weber guy for 25+ years and had my grill for a year before it started pealing.  Weber says this is normal but it’s not. Had my previous Charcoal grill for over 5 years and it didn’t do that. They made a nice excuse to not replace it but you might as well spend less, quality will be the same now.
