Excellent quality and craftsmanship. This is the third Weber gas grill I have purchased. My first was almost 10 years ago and I sold it last year when I purchased a pellet smoker. The second I bought as a wedding gift for my son and his wife about 6 years ago (they are still using it). I missed my Weber gas grill and this spring decided to purchase my third one. I love this grill, especially the sear zone!

I assembled this unit and could see the quality of the parts that make up this Weber. This is smaller BBQ than the other Webers we have had in the past but wanted to downsize a bit and this fits the bill. First Weber that isnt stainless steel however the black with red accents looks sharp.  BTU's are less but that is working out and just taking a bit longer cooking time.  Love the Snapjet starters for each burner however it is hard to see that they are lit.  All in all very happy with my purchase and get try the Sear Zone tomorrow on some steaks!

My Third Weber Gas Grill

This is my second Weber grill as my first one lasted &:served us well but it was time to replace it. On this grill I added the flat top griddle insert which I really like .

It cooks evenly and does a great job overall, especially with the searing function—it really adds a nice finish to meats. That said, I do experience occasional flare-ups, which can be a bit frustrating at times.

Overall, it's a solid grill that performs well for everyday use, with just a small area for improvement.

Reliable Grill with Occasional Flare-Ups

I purchased a new grille when the base on my old Spirit finally rusted to the point where it forced replacement.  

Overall, the new grille is shinier and looks well engineered, though there are some changes that are a step backwards.

There is no longer a spring scale on the propane tank to show how full it is.  So I have to use my calibrated arm to lift the tank.

The grille ignition system seems to have taken one step forward, one back.  No longer a batter powered spark, but it's working so far.  Each knob needs to be ignited separately, on my old grille only one bank was lit, and the other caught from that.  Also, igniting a burner causes a large flame to spew horizontally.  It's not a hazard, and is a really good indicator that the gas is lit.

My biggest complaint is that the cover of the grille flexes and catches on the bottom if you don't open it with your hand in the center of the handle.  This is a bit of a pain, as it hilights not only that the top is made of thinner/cheaper materials, but it also forces me to think about positioning my hand in a procedure that should literally be a no brainer.

Leaving on a positive note, the grille heats very quickly and seems to use less propane, all very much appreceated.

Good, but not perfect.

I recently received the above and was surprised by what I had expected in an upgrade wasn't an upgrade in some ways.  The wheels are only on one side, and the ignition system is clunky, as you have to wait until you hear the gas before you can light the burners. I appreciate the extra burner, but little is said about how to use the sear. There is no way to tell how much gas is in the bottle because you eliminated the fish scale.  My older spirit E310 was less expensive but had a better ignition, and I was able to move it around my deck. I was always able to tell how much gas I had, except now I had to incur an extra expense of a fuel gauge.  The grill works fine, and I am pleased with the operation, although I am disappointed that the lack of extras I had in my old grill are not included in the newer, more expensive grill.

Consumer Care

Love the bbq. Perfect steaks. The only thing i' m not happy about the bbq is that it's bad on a windy day. So many holes on the sides, once you open the lid on a windy or even when lid is closed the fire goes out

An average grill. The griddle cannot be uses without an additional purchase of a support system that they don't tell you about until after you buy their flat top. additionally, I wanted a rotisserie for my Webber. Researching the correct one for use on the E-425 was a nightmare. I finally received some help from the call center and ordered what they said was the correct kit.  After installing the kit, which was easy, I tried to roast a 4 lb chicken. I found that the grill lid would not close properly. The lid set directly on the rotisserie spike. The motor mounting bracket was not the same as the one shown in all of the videos. The motor itself was very loose on the bracket and would shift to one side when the motor was switched on. The rotisserie kit is useless as designed. I put the chicken in a cast iron skillet and finished it in the oven.

As far as grilling goes, this Webber works well. steaks on the grill are great, switch to the flat top and burgers turn out well. As in any grill there are hot and cold spots the one learns thru use.

Recommend a more through research than what I did before you buy this grill. Know what features you want or expect to come with the grill, price them out and see if it is worth it to you. I really expected better from Webber

An average grill

Disappointed. Had a Weber for 8 years and decided to replace with a new one. After using several times, now regret not just spending the money to replace the parts on old one. Not nearly as good as one it replaced. Not built as well and temperature gauge not accurate. Have contacted Weber website but can't get any help.

I hate it. It’s not working and since it’s 90 days out, I’m working with someone on line trying to troubleshoot this. I’ll be honest with you, my husband bought this and while I know do the cooking on the grill as he has dementia and can no longer run the thing. I’m almost 70 yrs old and now trying to figure out how to fix everything. There’s got to be a more user friendly way to get this done. And no, it should have lasted longer than 6 months
