This is my second Weber Grill - my first one lasted 10+ years!  I was glad to see the SP-335 model offered...it has all the features of the Genesis I wanted in the Spirit (Stainless Steel grill rods, sear burner, and side burner).  Weber made lots of nice design changes in 10 years (igniter location, location and size of burner valves).  So far I've grilled Italian sausage, ham steaks, hot dogs, burgers, pineapple wedges, and super thick ribeye steaks.  Everything cooked perfectly and evenly.  The ignition worked flawlessly every time.  My previous Weber Grill did not have a sear burner - I had no idea what I was missing!  I seared the ribeye on both sides, then briefly warmed it through to a perfect medium - warm, pink and juicy.  And the crust on that steak was just like the 5 star steakhouses!  Suffice it to say I am extremely pleased with the Weber SP-335!

Better than my first Weber Grill!

This is my third Weber gas grill and like my first two I love it!!!! I wavered on purchasing the SP-335 for over a month after reading a review about how difficult it is to place a full propane tank on the hanger. After purchasing the SP-335 I discovered that by placing the propane tank on the floor of the grill close to the opening in the floor and just tilting the tank top over to the hanger hook, the tank fell right into place without having trying to lift the tank up to the hanger hook. Problem solved!!!!! So far I have cooked three steak meals, two vegetable dishes, and one chicken. All came out perfect!!!! Waiting for the fresh Copper River salmon to show up at my market, yummy!!!

Trick to get full propane tank hooked up

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I have been looking at and comparing new BBQs for 2 years. I wanted one with a stainless hood, stainless cooking grates, stainless bars over the burners, a side burner, a sear zone, and a rotisserie. But just a medium sized one. The SP-335 has everything but the rotisserie. As a bonus it has a tank gauge and there are pre-drilled holes on the right side to mount a rotisserie. I can still get the rotisserie kit and mount the motor bracket on the right side. It will not interfere with the lid over the side burner on the left side- something I was worried about before I got it and put it together. Another bonus is the bottom is completely enclosed and has a stainless door. 
We haven't had it very long but so far it has performed better than any other BBQ I have ever owned. I've gone through 8 or 9 BBQs over the years. This one beats them all by a long shot.
It heats up fast and holds the heat very well (that's why I wanted a stainless hood -black radiates heat, shiny surfaces hold the heat). It will take less propane to keep it at temperature, making it more efficient, and save me money in the long run.
With all the features I wanted I could not find another like it in the same price range. Only time will tell how it holds up. To help squeeze the most life out of it I picked up the Weber cover for it and the long handled Weber brush for stainless cooking grates. I'm glad I did as these are also better quality than the cheaper ones I looked at on the shelves. 
I'm a stickler for following instructions and doing things the right way. I'll be cleaning it as suggested in the instructions and we'll see how long it lasts. I seem to have written a book here -Sorry! but its all good.

Best Value I could Find in Canada

This grill has worked very well and was a good purchase, however, I had to purchase a new adapter hose as the one that came with the grill was not long enough to reach the propane canister after it was mounted on the grill.  It is very disappointing to be required to purchase another adapter hose after spending a significant amount on a grill.  Only other drawback is that it is difficult to know where the knobs for the burners are pointing since the only figure on them is a grill.  It heats up very quickly and the thermometer helps in keeping the temperature consistent.

Good grill

I replaced our 20 year old Weber Genesis Silver C.  Even though it was still going strong, it was time for an upgrade.  I gave my old grill to my son.  The best part of the new grill?  The flames go from front to back which means I don't have to light the whole grill.  I only use 2 of the 3 burners.  It heats up fast and evenly.  I still get grill marks even without using the super burner.  My only grip is the gas tank goes inside the cabinet.  There is a hole where it sinks into.  This is very difficult to maneuver into and up.  The old grill didn't have a cabinet  It was much easier with this set up with the tank hanging from under the shelf.  Other than that, I am looking forward to many many more years of Webering!

The son of the beast!

Liked my old Weber but new Spirit 335 needs some rethinking .  Try loading the gas tank.  At 78 yeas I cannot hold a 35 pound tank at arms length to get on the hook and do not want it sitting on the ground.  It is now sitting on a piece of wood over the hole.  Stopped using the scale years ago as it was very inaccurate.  Chrome on chrome chrome knobs are impossible to read in direct sunlight and difficult to read if you have a sight problem.
Ask your father (over 65 ) to load a tank and use the knobs.  Your tank hook does not on all tanks.  Nice to see the burners going front to back instead of side to side.

Things you don't see until you get home.

A very solid and good looking grille. Our one suggestion so far would be to make it easier to tell what the settings are on the gas control knobs. They are chrome-shiny, and you cannot easily see how they're set either in bright sunlight or in low lighting. That, combined with the fact that you must push them in so that you can rotate them (even for turning the gas off) means that it is too easy to unknowingly leave the gas on. 

Perhaps your support people can suggest a type of long-lasting paint or tape that we could apply to the knobs such that when this marking is in the "Up" position, we would know that the gas is turned off. Or if you ever come up with a better knob design, you could make such knobs available to existing owners as an upgrade. Would be much appreciated. Knobs version 2.0!

Weber Grills

The SP-335 was not exact grill I wanted, but everything else with the features I wanted was just too large for my deck and only 2 people.  Feels a little flimsy, but cooks great.

Biggest complaint is that everything is just so "cheap".  The covers on most of the knobs started falling off after a few weeks.  All the tabs are intact, they just don't engage.

Also,  the accessories are not good.  The cover is incredible thin and wore a hole on the corner after 3 weeks.  The optional grill light for the handle operated properly for exactly 1 day.

I needed a new grill.  The Weber's are the best thing out there, but they leave a bit to be desired.

I would give this grill 5 stars were it not for the finish problems on the stainless steel. The unit was rain on 2 times before I could move it under cover. Now it appears that there are small rust spots appearing all over the stainless steel exterior. I used Zep cleaner for stainless steel on it & this remove the discoloration, but you can see little "pindots" of rust places everywhere. We also have a Holland stainless steel grill that has been outdoors for 7 years & the stainless steel looks like new. I wonder if this is covered by warranty??

Very disappointed with Weber. New SP-335 purchased 2.5 weeks ago, May 9th , stainless everything, sputtering gas issues, side burner won't ignite, fuel leaking from tank and no call back from firm after three  written requests for help. They will say it's all because of the Pandemic. Very poor way to run a business. Every other firm in America has figured it out....not Weber!
