It didn't take long to determine this is a winner. Bluetooth connectivity eliminates the need to run outside to check temps...in the rain.

The Bluetooth signal strength is just strong enough to reach my iPhone when in my frame house, a distance of about 20 feet. Others may have an issue if their home is brick, or they are further away from the base unit. I will try playing around with where I locate the base to see if I can get the signal to reach further. 

We'll see how it holds up over the long haul, including battery life, weather resistance, accuracy and so on. Thus far, I am happy I picked it up.

The iGrill 2 does the trick!

The features of the iGrill 2 are incredible!  Purchased and extra food probe and the grate probe.  Didn't realize how inaccurate the lid thermometer was but makes sense why it takes so long to cook something like a pork butt on my new 26” kettle.  With this, I can slow n sear 3 ribs with 3 probes and monitor the grill temp at the grate from inside my home with the app on my iPhone, and set ranges and alerts to let me know when the grill temp gets out of the desired range; too hot or too cold.  Started grilling with a Weber charcoal grill since 1993 and just wish I had one of these all those years instead of a basic meat thermometer having to open the lid releasing heat and  puncturing holes releasing juices every time.  Used this multiple times now and this is one of the best accessories I've ever bought for charcoal grilling!  Heck, I even used it once in my attic to see how cold it actually gets when temperatures are freezing outside; left it in for 2 days with the batteries it comes with and I'm still yet to replace temp.

IGrill 2 is incredible!

The absolute best grill thermometer I have every used. So many selections in terms of the food you want to monitor....love that Salmon is a choice. Now I am no longer tied to the grill. I can move about my family/guests and enjoy knowing the food will be cook to the correct temperature.

Best Grill Thermometer!

I bought the iGrill 2 to use when cooking on our Weber, which is both outside (obviously) and down a flight of stairs to the patio.  The iPhone app makes grilling so much easier, and saves a lot of time running up and down.  Now that it is January in New England, I'm also using it in my oven and loving it just as much.  The iGrill 2 is the best meat thermometer I have ever had.

I love the ability to monitor the meat that is cooking in real time. It worked great. The only caution I would have is to make sure you don't leave the plastic shield on the probe cord. I somehow managed to leave that on and it melted on the grill. I don't know if there was a cautionary warning on the package or what. But just be careful.

Weber Grills

Got this as a gift and have used it several times. Currently I have three probes, I use one for the grill temperature and the other two for what ever I'm cooking. I like the software and the time temperature tracking as well as the ability to set temperature alarms. Only improvement would be greater bluetooth range

Good tool

Overall this is a nice unit. Works well, is simple to use and seems reliable. One feature is very poor though. The digital display is not good. It is extremely difficult to read, almost to the point you can't make out the numbers. Not sure why and am not sure if it is faulty or not.

Pretty good overall

Like every other digital temperature  system I've used is not as accurate as you'd think.  It gives a great idea of ambient and meat Temps,  but not as accurate as a plain old thermometer.  Always keep separate analog thermometers to double check these.  Overall though,  I like this as well as the igrill3.

I love this product and the concept is great.  It has not failed to have a perfect grilled main course.  Only problem I have is projecting completion time to my wife and the WiFi is only good for a short distance.  I wish it had some method to say when it will be done by probe and expand the WiFi distance to receive the info on my phone.  I installed a WiFi extender but it does not help.  My friends have the same problem so 8m sure it's a design issue. I still would recommend this if you are a serious griller as the product works as intended and you can guess on the completion time.  Happy grilling.

Great product but...

Bought this about 1 year ago. I like the features but this does not transmit more than 15 feet to my I phone!

I bought this product and used it around 25 times and it never worked to satisfaction.  Inaccurate temps and poor signal transmission.
