My 6yr old grandaughter really wanted this item for her birthday so of course I bought it. She really enjoys it, but it is pretty small and a bit too pricey in my opinion. But she likes it and seems satisfied so that's all that matters I guess.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A fun gift for anyone who likes to style hair! My daughter is 12 and asked for it to practice hairstyles.

Itt is fun!

I wish the Monocle was a stand alone and didn't require him to have his glasses on.  The hat is a bit too heavy as a barrette but overall I love everything about him! He is just so perfect and the little hair flip and the other little extras I just love it! Also all the barrettes fit into his headband which I thought was a great way to not lose the pieces, so well done on thinking that through Mattel!

It literally came with a little blade to cut the string. For kids…
Seems a little dangerous. Tell me what kid wouldn't stick their tongue or something in that little blade?! Feels a little unsafe.
