It's a gel but when applied doesn't feel sticky. It just dissolves and hydrates your hair. I used it in conjunction with the mask which helped with defining my curls even more than when I used it alone. My curls feel soft and look hydrated. I will be purchasing and definitely recommend it. I used a tiny bit and then pinned my hair up while it was twisted and then went to bed and slept with it in. After work I took my hair out and Ive never been so in love with my hair. First of all, the texture is very different from what Im used to. I use a hair lotion regularly, and this was a jelly, which yes, is the name of the product but you never know  I use a LOT of product on my hair because I have a lot of hair. I used about 6 pumps. The second thing I noticed was the smell. It smells AMAZING. Love it. I put it in my hair and fluffed it out as I normally do, and then finished my makeup. At the end of my routine, I am obsessed with how my hair looks. Its not frizzy at all, doesnt have a wet look, which I hate, but it doesnt look dull or dry either. I really like this!!

I think it's just so new and different, very sleek and sophisticated. I was expecting it to work a little better than it did. it was easy to get the product out and the directions made it very easy to understand and follow. I feel like I needed way more than what the directions called for but I do have very thick long hair however its supposed to be made for women with my hair type. I feel like it enhanced my curls more towards the scalp of my hair rather than the ends. I will finish this product but I probably will not be purchasing. It made parts of my hair stiff and others look wet and greasy. I feel this product would have to be combined with others to get the job done to style naturally curly hair.
