I recently purchased it due to the good price and excellent reputation. As a former paint contractor, I know the brand very well. I hate the weight of fiberglass ladders, so I chose aluminum. You can't go wrong with it.

I've had this ladder for 17 years, well made, lots of paint stains, it's been with me through lots of jobs, lightweight, not to big not to small.

Great ladder

I probably gave more stars than deserving because one of the feet buckled and sent me to the floor BUT the second rung of a ladder is not going to break me but given my wife witnessed the fall this little ladder has seen it's last use regardless of how I repair the damaged leg per the wife.  I gave the stars because it has served me for many years.  Is there an official fix? Something the wife will sign off on.  The replacements here are steel or plastic (heavy) and no tray!  Lastly, I'm 6'1 205 lbs well below the weight limit.

Great ladder, lightweight

One leg was already broken when this thing arrived. 
It's lightweighted, sure. I expect it to be lightweighted, but still its lightness surprised me. It's like a pancake, OR a leaflet. Or a paper ... Of course i am a little exaggerated. Considering return it.

Too Flimsy!

I have owned a #354 4ft step ladder for a few years now. I used it outside yesterday on slightly uneven ground, which is unavoidable in outside environments. Unfortunately, while stepping down the ladder, one aluminum strap that spans from the metal hinge to the ladder leg broke and caused me to fall. Luckily, I was on the first or second step and I landed on the seat of my pants and did not hit my head. The strap broke at the point where there is a slight offset bend in it to clear the ladder leg. I own other Werner step ladders that use steel for this strap which is probably much stronger than aluminum. The break was a clean snap. I will never purchase another step ladder that is designed using aluminum for this strap. I consider myself lucky in that I am only sore from this fall. This ladder should have the hinge strap redesigned and use steel rather than aluminum. It is a dangerous product and should be sold as an indoor ladder only with a warning.

Do not buy this for outside use
