Can melt butter evenly, but may leak or drizzle excessively.

I had a smaller Stir Crazy first. it took so long to pop enough for 2 people.
When this bigger 6qt Stir Crazy was on the shelf, I had to get er. What a great decision. The first batch of popcorn made, only had 4 kernels that didn't pop. I was so pleased. I did use a small
amount of veg oil. For whatever reason, I remain to question why Olive Oil is not recommended  for this stir crazy, as I used olive oil in the smaller 
stir crazy, and the popcorn popped up so fluffy and big pops. Doesn't take much time to pop up a nice helping to enjoy. I use Pam Spray and some salt, and it turns out so yummy.
Very happy I chose this 6 qt Stir Crazy.

This is our 4th Sir Crazy in 42 years of marriage. We love having one in our household of fresh popcorn lovers. This one is the perfect size for us now. Easy to clean and makes great hot fresh popcorn

Really nice popper. Look forward to using it for a long time. Got an extra 3 year warranty for it.

This is our 3rd Stir Crazy  over the years ( we pop a LOT of corn - multiple batches every week.). WE have had more expensive poppers from other brands, but they just couldn't produce the same popping action. We don't  have many unpopped kernels with the Stir Crazy - the heating element gets very hot so I suspect this is whey. We pop back - to -back batches and it works like a champ.

I had a previous version of the Stir Crazy years ago %26 it was fantastic.  I rarely had more than a few unpopped kernals.  That's not the case with this one.  I don't know what I'm doing wrong but have way too many.  I note the surface is different than the old unit.  Also, the cover on the butter well doesn't fit securely %26 falls off.  Love the big wide bowl as it's easy to add %26 mix different toppings.

I had an old popper thought a popper same brand ten years later would be better. Does what it is supposed to do but the top cover is too loose. When fitted on see through top it easily falls off. I lost a batch of popcorn once. I should have notified the manufacturer but have not. Maybe this will act as notification, and I get a tighter butter cover.

I have always had good service from the West Bend corn poppers in the past. This was my 3rd. I pop a lot of corn for farmers markets. This time the popper popped 2 poppers full and I was pleased with the increased capacity and customary fast popping, but the 3rd popper popped halfway and then quit popping. It was full of unpopped kernels. It did the same with the next popper. I got frustrated and quit popping for an hour or two. When I resumed it did the same. The next time only 1 popper and then it quit heating and popping. I let it go for a minute still on and it resumed popping the batch. This worked for a week and now it just pops less and less and won't resume popping no matter how long I leave it on. I will be returning it asap and have ordered a different brand, probably an import but it doesn't seem to buy American from this manufacturer anymore.

This machine does not work efficiently. It takes over 20 minutes to pop a bowl of popcorn and at least two thirds are burnt. We have had multiple popcorn machines of similar type over the years and none of them were this bad. Very disappointed.
