This is the second time I have bought the West Bend Hi-Rise. I have owned Breadman (trash) Sunbeam (decent) and a Wolfgang Puck (absolute trash) bread makers! The Weather Bend is the G O.A.T when it comes to a home bread machine! don't be fooled by prettier flashier bread makers if you want a workhorse you want bread PERFECT every single time ... you want the West Bend Hi-Rise! Take it from the one use used a killed one from over use, then gave a Breadman bread maker away because it was beautiful but trash! Used and killed a Sunbeam bought a Wolfgang puck and took it back to the store and bought the workhorse again!!! You can not beat this bread maker!! I have tried!

Great bread maker but I do wish it had suction cup or something on the bottom so it wouldn't move. Mine ended up falling off the counter and broke…
No more delicious fresh bread in the morning :(
I miss The warm bakery smell in the kitchen! 
Otherwise it works really well and I loved the real loaf shape, the delay start, and the double paddle.

You will fall in love with bread again!

Had this same model for about 10 years when it finally died. Took awhile to find the same model but other brands just didn't measure up. This one has a bigger viewing window and bigger kneading paddles over my first one. Still makes the best looking and best tasting loaf of bread!

I had a West Bend bread maker for many years, at least 10 using almost daily.  It was time to replace and only wanted a West Bend. My new bread maker is great.  It makes a bigger loaf and more options.  Easy to use!!
The raisin bread was fabulous as well as the basic white.  5 stars and beyond. Love it❤️❤️❤️

I bought this machine because I had a Westbend machine for 20+ years that made great bread. I modified the regular white bread recipe a little to match what I did in the old machine. I don't use dry milk because I never use a timer. I always check the dough after it's mixed to make sure it feels right. This machine is much lighter than the old machine but it doesn't move on the counter. The paddles are aluminum and seem bigger and better than the old ones. I love the larger viewing window. I have only used the 2# size and the bread slices are really big, but fit nicely in the toaster. The bread loaf shape is nice a similar to a homemade loaf.
I love it although it's louder than the old machine.

Great machine! Great bread!

First time buying a bread machine. We love it! No regrets and the machine is easy to use. Instructions helped us get started. The only thing I would've liked is an off/on option to avoid always unplugging the machine. There is a start/pause option but the instructions say to unplug the machine when not using. Not sure if other bread machines are also like that. It's just a little thing I would've liked but it doesn't change the fact that this bread machine is great!

I have had this for about 2 weeks, I bought it as I wanted a larger loaf more family sized. It's a great machine and my loaves come out like the loaves in the bakery. I dropped a star because the sticker label saying the functions is coming away it came that way.

this is the first product I've bought that does not come with a instruction manual, therefore I had to go online and find instructions.

There were no instructions for using the West Bend bread maker.  i could not even remove the ingredient pan to wash it so it could be used.  This is the 2nd one I ordered and returned within a month.  The 1st one had a booklet but instructions resembled something a 4th or 5th grader wrote, made no sense.  I have owned 3 previous makers before these and they each had instructions  and recipes,  each machine works differently.  The 2nd one was returned to Walmart yesterday.  I am debating ordering a 3rd one from Walmart or looking further.   I want a machine now not next year.  My last one  that I owned just plain and simple wore out.  I love  homemade bread, plain and simple!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It does not do well on smaller loaves of bread and tends to overbake if not watched closely.

I was excited to get this bread machine thinking it would make nice sized loaves similar to store bought bread, but it did not.  When following the recipes exactly, the dough does not fill the pan and you get twisted, misshapen loaves.  The bread does taste  good but the shape is awful.
