I had the original one from way back when. I finally broke afte what must be 20 pluss years. This has similar look but the sound of the alarm is different.  I miss my old one that was a deeper slower blaring the vrs this faster higher pitch one. The Alarm switch on the back is opposite to the original. Up is on and down is off. that is taking getting used to.

I really like the large numbers that I can see when I wake up in the morning.  They are pretty bright so for those who are sensitive to light while trying to sleep, this may not be the clock for you.  The volume of the alarm is perfect - just loud enough to wake me without waking anyone in other bedrooms.  Time and alarm are easy to set, the snooze alarm is great.  As for the alarm off button being located on the rear, for me it's close enough to the top that I don't find it to be a problem.  I would definitely recommend this alarm clock to family and friends.

The Perfect Alarm Clock for me!

I wanted a reliable alarm clock with numbers large enough that I could see them from across the room. This clock is easy to read and very easy to set for the alarm. The alarm goes off and beeps one beep several times. Then after several seconds the one beep turns into quicker beeps closer together. I really like that feature. I often sleep with headphones on while I fall asleep to music and the alarm clock is loud enough to wake me with my headphones on. This clock also has a snooze button which is handy for the days when you just need a little more sleep. I plan on buying another one of these clocks for my teenager to keep in his room.

Great Alarm Clock

easy to see at night and has great alarm that speeds up it's somewhat annoying alarm beeping... if you don't get up right away. My teenager both loves and hates it.

I got this clock for my Mom because she needed something she could easily see. This clock definitely gives you that. Bright red big numbers that are super easy to see give her exactly what she needed. She says it's easy to program too.

I love this clock. The display is large enough that I don't have to pick it up to see the time without my glasses. It also doesn't take up too much space on my night stand.

Westclox Alarm Clock

I LUUUUVE THIS CLOCK.  I LOVE THE BIG LETTERS THAT SHOW FROM A DISTANCE. i LOVE THE ALTERNATIVE  OF  A BATTERY THAT CAN BE USED  IN IT AS A BACK UP WHEN THE POWER SHUTS DOWN SOME WHERE AND IT WILL WITH THOSE PESKY POWER OUTAGES. THE SETTINGS ARE GREAT TO JUST HIT THAT SNOOZE ALARM FOR EXTRA SECONDS OF SLEEP.

How much can I love an alarm clock????????

We like this alarm clock, alarm is not over loud but just enough to wake you up.  Wish it had a dimmer switch for the front numbers.  A little to bright at night when you want to sleep!  Have to face it away.

Nice clock

Very bright LED display, but no dimmer (hi/lo) switch.  So far, has not delayed getting to sleep.  Description claims "Ascending Alarm".  WRONG!  After letting the alarm sound for 20 minutes, there was no increase in volume from when the alarm started.  Would prefer a more solid alarm on/off switch, and on the front instead of hunting for it with fingers on the backside.  With its very bright and large display, will get another for use in another room.  Can easily see it across the room.  My old one has gotten dimmer with age.

Does NOT have Ascending Alarm. Bright.

An alarm clock should  have an alarm.  This one does not.  If you need a clock its fine but not if you need an alarm.
