Ease Of Installation

Threw four of these into a DS1517+ Raid 10 for photo storage. My other NAS has 6 4TB WD Red drives and hasn't had a problem in 4 years. I expect these14TB drives will run without issue for at least double their 5 year warranty as other WD drives have.

I have been using this drive in a home NAS setup for several weeks to store backups, media files, and work data. Installation was simple, and it was recognized right away by my system. It runs at a steady speed and handles large file transfers without slowing down.

The performance has been consistent during daily access and scheduled backups. Even when multiple devices are streaming or copying files, it keeps up well. The 7200 RPM speed makes a noticeable difference compared to slower drives I used before.

Noise levels are reasonable for a drive of this size and speed. It is not silent, but it is not distracting in a small office. The build feels solid, and it is designed for continuous operation, which gives confidence for long term use.

Overall, it delivers strong performance and reliable storage capacity. For the size, speed, and stability, it offers good value for the money.

Great Product

Great product and was easy to install in my My Cloud Mirror EX2 Extra

Great drives for NAS

Got 2 of these on sale for my NAS (My Cloud Ex2 Ultra) to upgrade capacity for my RAW photo backups. Resizing RAID-1 went off without a hitch. It took a long time, like a day but all I had to do is swap drives one by one and come back hours later. Make sure to follow instructions in the web UI, for example initiate resize from UI before hotswapping the first drive. Neither the old 4TB drives nor the new ones ever gave me problem, the NAS box just sits in a closet and I periodically move photo folders from my laptop to NAS to free up space for new photos. Overall a cost effective setup that just works.

Good value and does the job

Purchased four of these 14TB red pro drives to use in an Asustor NAS. No problems with install or setup. Only been using the NAS for a few months and no problems to mention. The NAS is in a closet so I don't hear any noise if there is any, high performance is not a concern. Main concern is long-term reliability and that won't be known for some time I guess.

The shipping package is the worst I could see for HHD and the drives make loud clicking sound when reading and writing.
