I purchased the Weston Mandolin Vegtable Slicer for my daughter and her husband as a Christmas gift. As soon as they saw it they were so excited. They chose this one because it was not made of plastic like the one they had purchased from and other company.  They liked the way it was made and the added blades.

I bought this mandolin vegetable slicer for my husband for Christmas and he is so happy with it. He says this one is heavy duty, and it is stainless steel and the different blades on it are impressive. On an overall he is definitely happy with it so I think I made4 the perfect choice for the purchase.

Exactly What He wanted

There are more slicing options than I need which may come in handy down the road. My main purpose was to provide evenly sliced vegetables for cooking. I was not happy with how the veggie catches on top after being sliced, but I can work around it. It is a decent tool for the price paid.

Better than slicing by hand

First the instructions are not good. But I figured out how to set it up on my own. Then I tried a carrot and a tomato. It can only cut half the carrot because the pusher can't get close enough to the blade to cut any more. Then I tried a tomato and instead of cutting it, it just smashed it, just like I could do with a hammer. Then the last issue is that this does not actually come from Walmart, it comes from an outside group that makes it far more difficult to return things.
