I bought this heater in Nov 2019 and since then we've had no issues with it. It does well in the very cold temperatures we've had recently in Toronto. 
Using this instead of the forced air electric furnace has definitely made a difference in our hydro bills since buying it.
There's no thermostat to go with it, but you can find programmable wireless (not wifi) thermostats that allow you to set the temperature on a battery powered remote for a reasonable amount. You can also hard wire it, but if you're not an electrician, it's not worth the hassle and extra cost to do so.
I've mounted ours on the wall in our room (The room is 11.5x14 feet (161sqft), and it does the trick. Anything larger than this, and I would suggest going to the 800W unit.), but I would recommend mounting it on the ceiling instead (if possible). This way it keeps it out of sight, and will be directed at the bed rather than out to the room, which will make you feel even warmer faster. That said, installing it on the ceiling isn't the easiest of tasks, as I've done this for one in our kitchen. If you're going to mount it on the ceiling, mark the side of the heater with a pencil to line up with the keyholes for the screws and then mark the ceiling with a pencil line from each screw outward to line up with your marks on the side of the unit. This will make lining up the holes to the screws so much easier.
